Dear Esteemed Members,

Bearing in mind that Lord Saturn is basically austere and disinterested in pleasure, we would naturally conclude that His involvement in such areas of life as love, sex, romance and progeny would be a separative one to a considerable extent. That said, I wanted to ask knowledgeable experienced friends here in the forum their take on the following cases:

- If Saturn is the lord of the 5th, would it help the native in love and romance if He is well positioned? And basically, irrespective of His location in a chart, is it right and/or justified to propitiate Saturn for such things?

- In the case of Pisceans, Saturn rules the 11th and 12th. Now bearing in mind that His mulatrikona would be the 12th bhava, what could be expected from propitiating Saturn? will in improve gains or losses?

- Finally, different astrologers attribute different things to Saturn-Ketu conjunction. What are your personal take and experiences in the case of this combination?

Thanks

I am surrounded by people with strong and exalted Saturn. So below are just observations. Shouldn't an exalted Saturn, if it is the lord of the fifth house, and well-placed, give all that very easily (sincere love etc) ?

I know someone with the tula lagna, Saturn is exalted in the first house, doing extremely well in the areas you mentioned. He married someone with an equally strong and exalted Saturn, though in the eighth house. Happily married they are. Further, another close friend of mine, aries lagna, has an exalted Saturn in the seventh, happily married, and has a glittering career. Wife equally accomplished.

Saturn-Ketu combo: I just know one person who has this in the second house. Saturn is exalted, and also rules the 5th and the 6th house. This person is fine in speech, a bit unemotional in tone, but very careful with words. A bit detached from the family. But very perceptive about everything, which can be good as well as bad depending on the situation. Has a stable and affectionate relationship.

Perhaps, an exalted Saturn ruling the 5th or the 7thh house is not that scary. I am sure other factors in the chart affect the net result. Maybe senior members can shed light on it. My knowledge of astrology is very literary.

Thank you very much Tiwari for providing valuable observations.

As of Saturn-Ketu conjunction, In the hope that this subject be dealt with further, I just mention briefly three various interpretations regarding this conjunction that I have so far come across:

1- This combination shows that the native will develop occult powers during his/her life.

2- Another interpretation is that the native has ghost related issues.

3- It shows deeply rooted negative qualities of Saturn such as pessimism.
