I ask because generally whenever I push aside the bad and I try to concentrate on what I have and feel happy about the good I still have left in my life, those things start getting hit as well..and Rahu is malefic in my chart in 9th.
So I was wondering if somehow rahu's role is to make sure you are never happy or contended or if it's determined by Rahu's placement, association and aspects that determine what area of life will be hit.

In the above person's case he was under Rahu's influence and had big dreams for his career. Was this because Rahu had some influence on his career related houses?

Believe me, rahu can penetrate even the strong minds of Saints and cause temporary mischief.

I have not seen your chart. so can't comment on your coming rahu period. About Saturn Rahu period, I don't know the placement of Saturn. But good thing is Rahu period will be of minimum 3 years i think.

But, I read in this forum sometime ago that people like Dirubhai etc. has strong Rahu.

I aslo read that normally politicians have strong influence of Rahu.. to my (everybody's) knowledge,
nobody can touch them.

I also lightly remember there was an article by the moderator few years ago on some Denzle Washington's Rahu gave Him all fame etc.. I also remember vaugely in his case Moon and Rahu are very close..Still,
the word affliction by malefics is not used..

And there are some examples in Sri K.N. Rao's books in one case, somebody became judge or something as soon as Rahu Dasa came..

The topic for discussion was Rahu mahadasha mainly. About politicians having strong Rahu, yes I have heard that too. At the same time, I have also read and heard that politicians had the worst fall in the same Rahu period at the fag end of its periods.

About Denzel's chart, yes I have read that. The only thing that gives me doubts is whether his birth details are correct. I am very well aware of how people in power circulate different birth details among astrologers. You may be knowing that.

I remember to have seen your chart recently for some medical issue you posted ? Neways....Contrary to common belief about SA-RA period, I think it will be much better for you. Your RA along with Gulika and Mandi is in Pushya nakshatra and 11th to MD lord SA. RA is not badly placed in D9, aspected by strong JU and it gets better in D10...trust me the dasha will be much better to what others might tell you. Having said that, also understand that lord SA play vital role here. He is MD lord, rules fortitude and happiness in your chart and Rahu falls in his nourishing nakshatra. If lord SA is happy with you...who knows you might rock in impending dashas.

If you any such charts of 65 born people who roise in rahu periods, please do share. However, if you are referring to Shahrukh Khan, then let me share his life with you till his Rahu period came to an end.

Shahrukh became well known in TV serials like Fauji and Circus. Even I remember watching his role in circus in my growing years. But he became a sensation only in filmi wolr when he debuted in guru mahadasha.

Shahrukh Khan has rahu in 10th house in the chart.

As Rahu mahadasha was coming to end, he faced many tough situations in his life like the death of his parents, he left the MA course from Jamia College in the miday after an argument with his teacher and vowed to make his fims on his own. He was very unsure of reaching to the top. His girlfriend left him to Mumbai and just imagine the difficult times he had to undergo to get ger back.

Let me check on 65 born charts tho I am sure I have seen few on the forum itself. What 'bout other famous khans of bollywood, they are from same era....no Rahu MD for any ? Theres another member Aseem, his cousin abroad I remember had a remarkable Rahu period. I cant remember the details tho...you could also check with him.

Howmuch ever painful, I kind of got used to having a pattern and having been under Saturn's wing for almost 13/14 years I feel like I owe whoever I am today, good or bad, to Saturn since it started at the peak of my life.

The place of birth is Trichy. Yes, Leo rises and Rahu exalted in 10th house.

He has just completed his rahu dasa and started jupiter's. Left to US for holidays as soon as jup started!

Except for the placement of Moon and Sun, his chart is similar to Shahrukh khan. His next guru mahadasha will see him more happiness through wealth, children and good rise in profession like Khan. However, there is a saying, which I read in one of Kn rao's article, if guru/guru period is very good after continued success, the rest of Guru period's can be average. Anyway, I don't think that will happen after seeing the golden Guru period of Shahrukh Khan.

How was his Rahu/ Mars period? It was his 6/8 period. Both are involved in Good Yogas and there must be a promotion after opposition. Transits have been favourable to him for the past 1 year.

Thanks for sharing your experience in Rahu dasha. It is strange that you had a good time in Rahu period in twenties. I bet your life changed significantly post 30 years. Rahu dasha must have given you some chronic health problems.

Rahu is in 8th house and conjunct with 10th Lord who is exalted there. Is your profession connected to research, insurance or anything to do with secrecy? Do you have great interest in workings of the mind or psychological?

Has there been circumstances where you occupied high posts but only for a short time? Sometimes, you must have faced the dis pleasures from the boss?

The person was nothing in the periods of Rahu mahadasha, which lasted around 26 years of age. He had no aim and did not like staying at one place for a long, which is another characteristics of Rahu period.

His father was a prominent professor and even established a school for the under priviliged children.

However, even in guru's initial period, he could not find any stable job and did odd jobs as examiner at University.

His first major break came at the age of 29 when he joined some private company as a trainee. This was the turning point in his life and this period happens to coincide with Saturn Return.

You analyse well! Yes not only in rahu-mars but in rahu-venus,rahu-moon he got into conflicts but succeeded somehow. No change in job from 1992!

I had indicated to him in rahu-venus a change, which was about to happen, but got cancelled at the last minute!

you are also right abt his jupiter period, i too have doubts about it, but jupiter in d9 lagna and also exalted in 4th in d10, seem, he will prevail through, though the success may not be like Rahu dasa!
