Your benefic Rahu-Ketu axis has saved you in the last minute from many troubles, helped by Mercury-Venus in 5th.

The problems you have described are because of the conflicting situation of your Ascendant. If only you didn't have retrograde Saturn and Mars in Ascendant, you wouldn't have faced all those troubles and Rahu-Ketu axis would have taken you to great heights.

This trend may keep on repeating throughout your life. Saturn Mahadasha may be especially challenging, because of its retrograde nature in Lagna. Jupiter is of not much use in your chart, so Jupiter Mahadasha will be moderate.

Your Mercury and Venus both are good and that's why I suggested emerald. Since Mercury rules your Lagna, emerald should decrease the conflicts created by your Ascendant combination.

You can also wear an opal 5.4 carats set in silver if you like, in addition to emerald, which you should wear.

Ra/Ke placed on 4/10 axis in Mercury/Pisces and Nk of Mars/Mercury. Ra/Ke are vargottam

Ra's dispositor is placed in Aries, which is lorded by Mars. Similarly, Mars is placed in Nk of Mercury.

Ra is placed in earth sign and in 10H aspected by exalted Venus. Ra's dispositor Mercury suffers from Kendraadhipati dosha and is placed inimically hence there will be ups and down in the dasha. In D-9 it is in conjunction with exalted Mercury and again aspected by exalted Venus. IMO, Rahu here is a Raj-Yoga karaka and the yoga will be activated in Ra-MD. If the native controls his speech and impulsive decision making especially in professional environment, he will make huge gains and leaps in this dasha.

Native should fast on Saturdays and recite Kunjika stotra twice daily. Native is also advised to think twice before making any decisions. Spouse should take care of her health and should recite MMM 11 times daily.

Health of an elderly person in family may be a cause of concern till Dec 2012.

Sharing the birth details of a native who is undergoing Rahu MD. His dasha started end of 2007 I think. Been glorious so far. He completed his Engineering with distinction and secured a well paying job in an MNC through campus placement. Has been travelling often both on work and vacation and he enjoys that. Plans to go in for higher studies abroad sometime next year. Currently he is in Rahu- Jupiter. Would the rest of the Rahu MD be smooth sailing or are there any ADs which would be troublesome? Look forward to your analysis

This combination is forming the extremely virulent Angarak yoga. Furthermore, Ra is also placed in Nk of Sa, which is known to control haywire effect of Rahu. In this chart, Mars is chandra lagna (or rasi lord) and Saturn is Lagna lord. Since Mars is vargottam, chances of Ra MD to affect the native mentally is possible and the focus of the dasha will be self transformation. Ra MD will be troublesome for you. Unnecessary worries and tension in regards to house, general happiness, as well as profession is possible. Chances of some progress in career will take place after Nov 2012.

IMO, his Ra MD will be good and he should face any problems. Problems or troubles during Ra MD will be due to transitory planets and will be cleared immediately.

Thanks Saindhaviji thts interesting. Yeah Virgo natives should feel tht extra boost of Mars however marital and personal relationships are spoilt. I too went through a rough early 2012 and hoping that rest of 2012 will be a bit kind on me. Not to mention that the dasha and gochar were also not on my side. Hoping for things to improve from Nov 2012.

On reading the experiences of others during Rahu MD, I do agree with Saindhaviji that I had it better than most.

I just re-read what I posted and would like to add that in spite of what I have written, the actual personal experience involved just 10-12 instances of intense periods during the entire mahadasha with most of them ranging from a few days time to a few weeks. The longest period was probably 3 months. I am thankful for that.

P.S. Saindhaviji, I did not have access to the forum since Sat. morning and hence was reading through without logging in. I then realized how swamped you are with specific reading requests from members like me. So thank you once again for spending time on my chart even when you were so busy. Appreciate that.

I shall provide updates on how the rest of my MD goes.

You mentioned a change after Nov 2012, can you please share what is the astrological change you are seeing post Nov 2012? I will be great-full if you can add any detail about the same.

I am already wearing a chandan bead mala as has been prescribed in earlier posts as standard for over a month now.

Do the remedies Explorings has suggested.

In addition, recite Hanuman Chalisa daily.

Wear Ashwagandha roots tied in a thin gauze-like cloth around upper arm.

If you find diamond expensive, you can wear white sapphire 4.5 carats set in silver or gold or opal 6.3 carats set in silver or gold, whichever you can afford.

Also wear emerald 4.5 carats set in gold. Combination of opal and emerald will be fine.
