Hello All,

Does the mahadasha of Ketu always bring about sadness, misery, and separation? Can one have a "happy" Ketu mahadasha?

You are correct. Ketu causes more miseries & challenges than other planets.

My Ketu AD was miserable with lot of worries & health issues. It was the worst period in my life with too many mental worries. i felt detached from everything.

More over in Ketu dasha i was not able to do any remedies, may be some seniors members can throw more light on this. I feel ketu will not let you come out of the problems easily. Its indeed a challenge to get through in ketu dasha.

I would request others to contribute about their ketu dasha.

In my (Taurus Lagna) case, I have Ketu in my 9th house aspected by Guru from the 5th house. My Me-Ke dasha was pretty bad. From what I hear from other people that I have talked to, it does not necessarily have to be a bad dasha.

No, it depends upon where Ketu is placed in one's chart, in what zodiac sign, Nakshatra, at what degree, whether any planet aspects it etc.

Ketu in Aries Lagna or in Aries 7th house for Libra Lagna gives excellent results. Same for Ketu in Sagittarius or Scorpio Lagna.

Provided no other planet afflicts or conjuncts Ketu.

But yes, you can always worship Ganesha, offering red flowers.

A well placed ketu receiving benefic aspects should also give positive results.But ketu is a general significator of rejection,isolation,detachment,sudden upheavals etc
