I am also libra asc but i think main prob was with your Ju-Ju dasa because Ju is malefic for Tula lagna . I faced havoc in Ju-Ju period too ( was almost totally mad ) . If you don't mind please share what kind of problems you are facing and your birth details

I am Libra Asc and Aquarius Rasi . I have Ju in 3rd H and exalted Sa in lagna . But when I said Ju-Ju period was maddening , i meant that literally . I had uncontrolable anger due to deep frustration and hopelessness . my father took me to a psychiatrist . Even now , i have violent outbursts all of a sudden but very rare only when someone is provoking me continuously .

Jupiter is currently in my 7th house in Aries and has wrecked havoc on me. Being a Thula lagna and running Ju/Ju period, I should have been prepared. But I was not; I thought Jupiter in the 7th is beneficial.

My moon sign is Capricorn so perhaps being 4th from the moon is what created miseries.

Come May and Jupiter moves to the 5th house from my moon sign (which I suppose is auspicious) but 8th from lagna (danger! danger!)

So what can be the expected outcome? Any ideas people?

From my very limited knowledge of the holy science,lord of a malefic house placed in a malefic house is considered good. So this transit maybe better than the current one. It'll help to know where is your Jupiter placed in your Rasi Chart.

Hey, you are right. The issues are definitely caused by the Ju/Ju period. Apart from Jupiter being a functional malefic for Thula lagna it is equally bad for Makara moon sign. So its doubly bad.

Could anyone confirm that , please?..that Jupiter is bad for Makara moon sign (with an explanation and even better some reference from a classical text)

Hello All,

I have been trying to study astrology for a while now..and been avidly absorbing knowledge by following this forum. At the moment, I need some insights and direction from the experts. My birth Details are 17 Feb 1984; 06:15 AM; Dahanu - Maharashtra.

I have been hearing for a long while that my chart is very strong. definately seems so at first glance, having LL Sat Exalted in 10H + Parivartan betwen LL and 10L Sat and Ven + 5L conjuncts 9L in Asc making Trine very strong.

But I am curious about the effects of LL sat thought exalted in D1, it is Deb in D9. and the MD of Sun 8L started in Jan 2009 which triggered of downfall and loss on almost all aspects of life. quit my job unwillingly due to family pressure to relocate back home and get married. Havnt been able to get a suitable job since then. Did establish a consultancy firm with friends but in Jan 2012 we decided to take a break and stablilize ourselves individually before getting into partnership. Have applied and received admission for PhD in a foreign university where i did my masters, but no funding has come through..have been called for technical test and interview by IIT - kharagpur for phd on 28 may 2012...again funding is an issue.

I really want to know what will be the effects of Jup transit. Jup going in tauras means 5H for me which has Rahu placed in it. Natal position of Jup is in saggi in 12H. Since being placed in 12 H and now transiting the 5H of scholarships, is there any possibility of funding coming through before august (for foreign uni) or june (for iit).

If not PhD, what are the chances of me getting a job here in pune or by relocating? i have applied for a job in banglore but no response as yet.

Please do give your comments and readings..would be a GREAT help in giving me a direction to think ahead.

Today,17th May,When Moon is transiting in Pisces(Revathi).@8:44am, Jupiter will transit into Taurus(Kritika-2) till 31st May2013. On 6th Oct,2012,Jupitar will move into retrograde motion,and will be in direct motion on 29th January 2013.

Hi Kunal, I suppose you are right. A malefic in a malefic house might bring good results. And as for jupiter being malefic, I got that information from the great B.V Raman. It is mentioned in his book How to judge a Horoscope - Volume One, on page 8 I suppose.

It is also mentnioned in Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra Chapters 34-45 - "39-40. Grahas and Makar Lagn: Mangal, Guru, and Chandr are malefics,Shukr and Buddh are auspicious. Shani will not be a killer on his
own. Mangal and other malefics will inflict death. Surya is neutral. Only Shukr is capable of causing a superior Yog."

But that post mentioned makar rashi and not makar lagna which is why I got confused (and still am)

or is it that lagna and rashi can be used inter changeably in this regard? 'cause from what knowledge I've gathered ,they are not used interchangeably

I will try and give how Jupiter behaves even though it is exalted.

My Jupiter is exalted in Cancer which is 12th from Natal lagna. During the year May 2010 Jupiter was transiting my Meena rasi which is 10th from Moon. During this time my career was very bad and had to leave the company.This happend during March 2010 three months prior to Jupiters transit into Meena. From there I have seen a down trend in my career. Had to wait for 1 and half year to get a better job. It was for a brief period of 4 months and then I lost the job. Now when Jupiter was transiting my Mesha rasi which is the house of badhaka for my leo lagna and Rahu being placed here I got the job during Dec 2011 and then again the job is only for a period of 4 months.

Mesha being the sign of badhaka it created lot of obstacles to my luck and finances, my image.

Now it is transiting my Vrishabha rasi which is 12th from Moon(increase in spirituality) it is transiting 11th from itself(Jupiter in cancer) and 10th from lagna and 12th from Paka lagna. More so it is also transiting the 2nd house from my Arudha lagna.2nd house is the house of sustance and when Jupiter transit this house it would sustain the native.

Now as of today jupiter has entered 1 degree in taurus.

Ju will be transiting in your 8th house this May 2012 onwards. Ashtama Guru can cause health problems as well as expand or increase the effects of 8th house (litigations, health issues, etc.). Ppl usually tend to lose their faith in divine during this transit.
