If a planet is in the same sign in both Rasi chart and Navamsa chart we say it is Vargottama.
I have both Rahu in 10th and Ketu in 4th house in Rasi chart, Navamsa chart, also in D-3 and D-12. If a planet is in the same house in both Rasi chart and Navamsa chart - is there any importance to it? ( Birth details : 1985-1-31,6.57 pm, Colombo, Sri Lanka. )

Dear Shrikanth Sir,
Why there is no amsa bala to the Debilitated Vargottama Planets in J hora,
Like I have Moon Debilitated in Rasi, Navamsa and Dashamsa in all the three conditions moon is aspected closely by Dispositor Mars causing Neechbhanga.
Pls Clarify my Doubt.

Shrikanth ji,
I also remember reading another rule for neecha bhanga. ie., if the dispositor of the neecha graha and lord of the sign where it attains uccha sthan are in mutual quadrants then there is neecha bhanga. In the example of Su if Ma and Ve were to be in mutual quadrants.
Is this correct or have I got it wrong?

A planet debilitated in a varga chart is considered weakened and struggling and naturally needs major efforts to function. So the amount of energies it has is considered low. thereby not included. Own house, moolatrikona and exaltation are more suited for strong and full functioning.
A dispositor aspecting a debilitated planet is NOT considered to provide neechabhanga.
Neechabhanga for a planet is acquired by the following.
1) if the dispositor of the debilitated planet is in a quadrant from lagna
For example if Sun is debilitated - If Venus is in a quadrant (Venus is dispositor where Sun debilitates) then there is about +25% of neechabhanga.
2) if the planet that gets exalted here (where this planet got debilitated) is in a quadrant.
For example if Sun is debilitated - If Saturn is in a quadrant (Saturn exalts where Sun debilitates) then there is about +25% of neechabhanga.
3) if the dispositor planet where this planet gets exalted is in a quadrant from lagna then there is +25% more neechabhanga.
For example if Sun is debilitated - If Mars is in a quadrant (Mars is dispositor where Sun exalts) then there is about +25% of neechabhanga.
4) If this planet is exalted in Navamsa or Dasamsa or in other varga charts - there is some subjective neechabhanga in those varga charts.
Shrikanth
Shrikanth,
There is no mention of neechabhanga from Moon in your post above, all NB are from only from lagna.
Is this Dr. Sanjay Rath's proposed rule.

Dear Shrikant sir,
Thanks for ur explanation, Here i have some more doubts about weakness of moon
1 It is said that Moon should have paksha bala to be strong, in my Case it is 104.85 acc to j hora, which makes it strong
2 Moreover Shadbala of moon is also good 116 %
So my question is, whether my moon is weak or not, or it is afflicted only. (though deb in rasi,D9,and D10 ,it is vargottama too ,and neechbhanga in rasi and D 10 ,which adds some strength to the planet whether it is deb)
FYI my Details are: 6 May,1985 ,4.15 pm, Ambala,(76.49E,30.19N) India.

Dear list,
A planet that is debilitated in the rashi chart but occupying a good position in navamsha will definitely not produce the results of a weak debilitated planet.
Naval, In your chart Moon is debilitated and afflicted by Mars would not give good results.

Sujit

Dear all,
Thank u for ur explanation, this is quite enlightening.
Sujit sir, Could u suggest remedies for deb and afflicted moon so that to overcome all its negative effects.
Though i hav already been doing Shiv Aradhana and japa as remedy for the same.

Naval,
To get benefit of weak planet, it should not suffer from affliction. Most of the people have at least one debilitated planet in their charts.
In your case Moon is ruler of benefic 11th house and its affliction give difficulties to mothers health and challenges to her married life, properties. Moon can be strengthened by wearing Pearl.
Great benefic Jupiter is also debilitated could be strengthened by wearing Yellow sapphire or you can wear yellow colored dressing. Gems can be costly, so do not be in a hurry to buy.
Wait for 2 months, a job will be coming your way.
Regards
Sujit

Dear Sir,
if i try to interpret the row for jup , 4-gopura (dasa-varga) means, in all charts betn d1-d10 ju is 4 times in own/mooltkn/friendly/exalted. how do i know if its 'n' times in own sign or mooltkn or exalted.
again there is another colm entry for ju, 6-kerala (shodasa-varga), does this mean 6 times ju is in own/mooltkn/friendly/exalted but now betn d-11 to d-16 charts.
eg sun/moon/mars, only 1 entry is given for "shodasa-varga" i.e 2-bhedaka ???
i wd appreciate sir if anyone can clear this for me!
anyone please !!
thanks
Dear Shrikanth Sir,
i can see the grid with diff columns, but i am not able to interpret rightly.
vaiseshikamsas - dasa varga 10 -- "shodasa varga 16" -- "sapta varga " -- "shad varga".
sun ------------------------------------- 2-bhedaka
...
mer
jup --------------- 4-Gopura ---------- 6-kerala --------- 4-chamara ----------- 4-chamara
shuk ------------- 3-uttama ---------- 5-kanduka -------- 2-kimshuka --------- 2-kimshuka
sat --------------- 2-parijat ---------- 3-kusuma
rahu ------------ 4-gopura ---------- 8-chandanaVana --- 4-chamara ------- 3-vyanjana
ketu
the entire row is empty for merc and ketu, how to interpret ?
thanks
[quote="Shrikanth"]Dear vik_85,
You can easily check this condition by going to Strengths Tab in JHORA and then switching to the Other Strengths tab on the bottom.
right click On the middle pane and select Amsa balas or Vaiseshikamsa . . . . option
Now you can see a grid with planets and something like 3-Uttama or 7 Kalpavriksha -
The number indicates in how many varga charts that planet is in Own house/Moolatrikona or exalted
Higher the better.
