Neecha Sun in D9

I have heard that a Neecha Sun in D9 means the end of a Vansha, i.e. no male progeny or grand sons, the end of the male lineage. Can anyone confirm this?

Sun does represent lineage..but one has to see..5H lord, aspects, combinations, planet in 5H, Ju also to determine this.
Here is a chart with debilitated Su who has a son.
27-Nov-1976, Lucknow, India, 10:05 AM.

Lineage has not ended despite Ju and Sun both neecha in D9. If several factors point to one results then only it should be considered certain.

In Horāsāra of Prithuyasas it says:

"Should Sūrya be in Tula Navamsh, in spite of his being in exaltation in Rāśi, even an emperor’s son will be jettisoned down to a base position.

Should Sūrya’s position be in Tula 10 degrees, even 1000 Raj Yogas are cancelled."

I know you shouldn't look at one specific thing to judge a chart, but has anyone come across a chart where this has been true?

Ok sun in Libra in 10 deg is deepest debiliation point. This makes Sun very weak.
But there are things that can provide strength. Neccha bhanga takes Sun out of extreme weakness.
There are many yogas in different classics which proclaim extreme riches and poverty.

Sun and Moon both should be strong to intitate and sustain rajayogas in chart. There are 7 other planets that play a role as well. Shahrukh Khan has debiliated Sun in third house in Tula. It is his lagnesh. Judge yourself is he has rajayogas or not. His Sun is not in debiliation at 10 deg rather at 15 deg.

Doesn't it achieve Neecha Bhanga in his case? Hilary Clinton also has a Neecha Bhanga in her chart. I mean what about charts with no neecha bhanga? And what about the saying about Sun in Thula Navamsha?

I have not seen a chart where there Sun is in total debiliation in D9 with no neecha bhanga. Deep debiliation in D9 wihout any redeeming factor can cause this. I am not sayng that this is incorrect, it causes weakness and is a facctor in consideration. In order for it to happen a lot of stars will have to align.
To prove it we will have find a chart where there is a deeply debiliated Sun with no neecha bhanga and the person should have "aayu - age" also. there are a lot of folks who passed away without having any child. After excluding such folks only we can probabaly prove that this works.

The converse should also be true, exalted sun in D9 should give lineage. Study Bill Clinton's chart He has 2 daughters..His Sun is very high in amsa bala.

Did you see a chart with deeply debiliated Sun? If privacy is not an issue please post it.

Well mine has neecha Sun in D9 at 10 degrees, but the Venus is in Kendra, which makes it Neech Bhanga. And also Sun happens to be in Scorpio in 11 degrees in D1, which is its pushkara bhaga according to one theory (CS Patel differs), so we can't take my chart as an example. But I will look for some charts, I think I have seen one such, without bhanga.

Anxious...If you are concerned about your on neecha Sun in D9, it is getting neechabhanga from Ve in D9.
Your Ju is has good amsabala..is exalted in D9 and with Ke. Ke does not afflict JU the way Ra does. Ju is in trine in saptamsa ( chart for children). In Rasi 4 planets are aspecting 5th house so it has required strength. I cannot analyze this in great detail but prima facie you will have children. D1. 5th house lord Ve is in kendra in D9 in Jupiter's house which is exalted in D9. Exalted Ju is aspecting 5th house in D9.
Su is malefic for you in D1 and D9. Its debiliation is not too bad for you.

I do have neecha Sun in D9 and I have just gone through benefic Sun AD without much positive results to speak of.



I am married but without a son as yet. 5H lord in D1 is also rather weak. Does it portent end of this family lineage?

Hari,
I will point a few positives.
Mars is digbali is 10H in Rasi. This gives it some strength.
Your D9 Sun is getting neecha bhanga from Ve and Mars in D9.
In D9 5H lord is Sa and it is in kendra to Jupiter in Pisces. It point to happiness from children.
For children one really needs to see D7 Saptamsa.
First child is 5H, 2nd is 7H and so on so forth.

Do you have a child? If yes your "weak" Mars has already delivered. 2nd child should be read from 7H. Lord is Mercury.

You would be better off with a professional astrologer for very specific questions or put this question in reading section.

In Sun Maha Dasha starting i did Good in my Academic career ... Got Rank in University...continously two years...But When Last phase of Two years wasn't that Good in Academics....got First Class but not Rank....
I have Venus in libra in D1 also may be Neechbhanga is due to that...may be it saved me in Sun Mahadasha...Though that period wasn't dat Good as My personality is...in previous year

Then It was Very Disturbing Throughout it ...
It was Good Enough in 2010 ... But In 2011 .. Many incident occur which Spoiled Reputation
I am Ayurveda Doctor ... was preparing for M.D. Enterance and i was very Good Student according to All ..
Even my professors were pretty Sure that i will clear M.D. Enterance ... but i couldn't ...

Incidents ..2011
(1) Fell in love ... I was the guy who never even look at Girl ... but in 2011 I fell in love ... It disturbed a lot
(2) Didn't Get Admission in M.D. ... My Reputation spoiled as Brilliant student ...
(3) Family get Disappointed with my Results ... Started to pinch everyday after Results
(4) till 2010 , i was very Good Son and in 2011 .. Family lost respect on me and started to think He can't
do any Remarkable work in his life...
(5) Family fought with me due to This Results all time and all anger blasted in October to December ...
And i had to live at my Relative's home for 15 days till my family forgive me as i couldn't clear M.D.
(6) Family was taking Pride on me till 2010 ... But Now i am the Son who is Bad in their Sight .. 2011
Changed my whole Reputation and Respect of others ...
(7) Like my whole Image i earned till 24 years is washed out in 2011 ... It slowly started in 2009 , 2010 too..
But it was very Low ... but in 2011 ...All incident occured that Changed my whole life ...

And now my Antar dasha is also Moon...
It will be till 31 / 10 / 2012 ...
Now i am working Hard for M.D. ...
My Aim is only and only Getting Admission in M.D.
Will i able to clear it??
Because now it is the Stage when My Lost Reputation can only be back if I clear this Enterance test...

And One more problem is that My Family is looking for Girls for me ..
And As Moon is in 7th house in navmansh so is it the chance?

Welll your Sun is neecha in rashi but not in navamsa.
It is getting neechabhanga from Ve and Mars.

Sun is owner eigth house in rasi and debiliated in 10H and in conjunction with 6house lord mercury. This is creating a VRY.

A few points here:
8L SUN is with 6L Merc and causing VRY....but see also that its case of combustion/war. That cant be good.
Next, SUN is caught in a papa-kartari yoga between mars+ketu on one side and Saturn [albeit lagna lord] on the other.
