Let's analyse children, early trade, late trade, entrepreneurship, personal possessions in this thread.

I use my D-11 as an example.

Children
----------

5th is the starting house for children. My Rahu in Gemini in the 5th is not conducive for children. Rahu denies children and Gemini is a barren sign. Further analysis (below) I cannot use my D-11 chart anymore.

To see when your children grow up, what do they become, look at the 9th house (5th to the 5th ie. the future).

To see how your children work out in society, look at the 10th house (6th to the 5th).

To see when you grow old, how your children treat you, look at your Ascendant (5th to the 5th to the 5h ie. 9th to the 5th).

To see the general support you give to the children again look at the 9th to the 5th which is your Ascendant.

So for your children, how you treat them when young, they would pay you back in spades.

Early Trade
--------------

2nd house is the house of early trade (basic trade). This is also the house where money is invented, the basis of trade. 2nd to the 2nd ie. the 3rd, shows your inclination to trade. For example if you have the Sun in the 3rd, like in my D-11, I am not inclined to trade. Just go through schooling, get a good education and then a good job and retire.

5th to the 2nd is the 6th. Early business usually is trying since you need to establish contacts.

6th to the 2nd is the 7th. To have more people trade with you, you have to go hunting which is the 7th. I have Leo there and the Sun goes to the third. My hunting usually provide with me contacts who like to stay put and do not generally want to trade with me.

9th to the 2nd is the 10th. Very long term, your early trade can provide you with CONSTANT gains, just like having a profession. The 10th also shows how mucy hard work you put in to your early trade.

Late Trade
-------------

7th house is the house of Late Trade or it can mean starting a huge business with a huge financing through mortage, loans or pooling of business partner resources (all these are ruled by the 8th).

From the above, you can see that once you have analyse the early trade portion, and your business is in the later stage, you can start analysing from the 7th house in this section.

5th to the 7th is the 11th where you have gains and the business flourishes.

6th to the 7th is the 12th. When your business is established, and you try to expand into other areas, you generally get losses. But 12th being the 11th to the 2nd, if you do it well, it will be ADDITIONAL REVENUE. Usually branching out would be through overseas - the 12th house.

9th to the 7th is the 3rd. Your inclination to trade and your trading knowledge ie. trading as a profession, would help to put you in good stead to run a BIG BUSINESS or A BUSINESS THRIVING IN A LTER STAGE. This 3rd house also shows the distant future of your big business. Usually big business in the very later stage gets run down. That is true for ALL BUSINESS unless the 3rd house has the funtional ruler placed in the 11th house in which case, you turn hardships into gains.

Personal Possessions
-------------------------

Start from the 2nd house of personal possesions. Venus here can give great prosperity. That is why although Phaladeepika do not acknowledge Lakshmi Yoga for a Virgo Ascendant when Venus is placed in Libra in the 2nd (Phaladeepika requires Venus to be in its own sign in the 9th or Kendra when Venus rules the 9th to qualify for a Lakshmi Yoga, minor classics do acnowledge the wealth giving propensity of this particular configuration ie. Venus in Libra for a Virgo Ascendant).

5th to the 2nd is the 6th. Usually one's personal resources get run down. If the functional ruler of the 6th goes to the 4th for example, the personal possessions become hidden treasures.

6th to the 2nd is the 7th. You normally hunt for the best items before you buy. That requires effort including bargaining etc. 7th also denotes you hunt for buyers for your posessions, usually not a local (the 7th rules foreigners), but it also depends where the functional ruler of the 7th is placed.

9th to the 2nd is the 10th. If your posessions has long term future demand, it can become like a salary for you.

Receptacles for your personal posessions come under the 3rd.

Entrepreneurship

How does entrepreneurship differ from trade (2nd and the 7th)? Or even the 4th of solde proprietorship? It usually denote someone breaking through the business field through his own ingenuity (hence different from the 2nd and the 4th) and using his own effort and resources (hence different from the 7th).

5th house is basic house of entrepreneurship. 2nd to the 5th is the 6th. Entrepreneurship requires hard work. If the 6th lord goes to a trine house or associates with a trine lord, your personal efforts are tinged with luck.

5th to the 5th is the 9th. You need to spread your name through flyers etc. to gain reputation amongst the masses. That comes in the later stage of entrepreneurship.

6th to the 5th is the 10th. Again hard work is involved for your entrepreneurship to expand. And gain if the 10th house lord goes to the 11th or associates with a trine, your hard work is tinged with some luck.

9th to the 5th is the 1st. Earnings from the entrepreneurship becomes your personal possions as you are the only one. (4th of sole proprietorship, the 9th is the 12th, where the earnings comes in drbs and drabs to support you since 12th is the 11th to the 2nd - so that is the difference between entrepreneurship and sole proprietorship). 1st also shows the amount of effort and energy (yes, again) that you put into the tnrepreneurship while it is running, to prevent it from breaking down ie. a failure.

Let's analyse entrepreneurship in my D-11.

Rahu is there in Gemini. A true visionary for business breakdthrough. Gemini is also the sign of ideas. Rahu in Punarvasu gives some benefic qualities. Mercury going to the 8th shows borring from banks (?)

5th to the 5th is the 9th which is Libra. My business has the potential to become up close and personal with clients.

Ruler of Libra goes to Taurus in the 4th which is a Lakshmi Yoga. 6th house of Cancer, the Moon also goes to the 4th which is the 11th to the 6th - some spurts of energy.

4th like I said in my earlier post is like an allowance given to you, so my entrepreneurship venture gives results easily. Do not even have to proceed to the 10th house (6th to the 5th), 1st (9th to the 5th) etc.

So the entrepreneurship venture (5th) turns into an established one of kind business (king) denoted by the 4th, with no need for futher hard work (ruler of 4th and 9th is placed in its own sign in the 4th, so the 10th and the 1st house are not involved).

Other starting points which you may want to explore :

Civil Service Jobs - 4th house
Service jobs often of a subordinate natue - 6th house
General Administrative or Government Administration where Performance is Important Otherwise it becomes a Civil Service job which comes under the 4th house or Higher Administrative Posts where Authority or Leadership is Exercised : 10th house
Local Administration usually specialised but not necessarily so : 3rd house
Professional jobs : 3rd house
Money from parents : 12th house
Insurance salesman, travelling about - 8th house
Authorship (master of the craft) jobs - 5th house

Avoid endeavours where the trines including the starting house contains A8. A6 is ok as it denotes temporary setbacks and can be overcomed by effort, UL (A12) is also OK as it denotes gains coming in with little effort IF NOT AFFLICTED otherwise it may denote loss. Trines containing A11, AL, A7, A5, A9, A2 are those that you should aim for although if there is A7, A2, there must be A5 and A9 to counter the maraka effects.

Empty houses in a trine, see where the ruler is placed and see any Arudhas there.

3rd can be hardship house besides the Dusthanas, if afflicted or if only natural malefics prevail, notwithstanding it is an Uppachaya.

In my D-11 my Fire Trine is the best with Rahu in 5th ruling 1st containing A11 and the 9th house Venus ruler goes to the 4th which is a Lakshmi Yoga.

My Air Trine is good too especially the 11th with all the good Arudhas and the ruler going to the 12th which is very good in my D-11 as it is the confluence point of the 11th to Sun, 11th to Moon, 9th to Sun and 9th to Moon. But the 3rd and 7th are fierce environments with Leo on 7th and the ruler Sun going to the 3rd in
Aires.

My Earth Trine is good too with the 10th lord going to the 11th (the 10th is empty). 6th with Moon as lord going to 4th with Venus also lifts off a lot of hard work required ie. exemption from hard work. Only the 2nd has A6 so a lot of personal spending on personal grooming to remain in service.

My Water Trine is good too but the 8th with A8, some tussles on inheritance and all that, but not serious as Mercury is in its own sign and Mercury is also a trinal lord. Insurance, inheritance etc. starting out is bad with no clients and quarrels respectively but future and distant furture turns out to be most materiastically rewarding with 12th a focal point of wealth in my chart and the 4th holding venus in its own sign and Venus ruling 9th constituting a Lakshmi Yoga. Did not stay in insurance that long to find that out. Was there less than three weeks!

Another caveat is even if a Trine contains a lot of bad Arudhas or planets not well placed etc., if there is a particular house containing a planet in its own sign and very good, and rules a particular issue, you would have luck in that issue, notwithstanding the trines (5th and 9th) are weak. This is like a haven that holds out the storm with the ship anchored to near the haven. The ship does not sail out into the storm.

Actually if you apply the dictum that planets in their own signs prevent the issue governed by that Bhava from cycling through the Trines, then my Water-Trines houses, each of the Bhava 4th, 8th and 12th with planet in their own signs, would make sure the circumstances for the issue of that house would stay the same throughout life.

So 8th house with Mercury in Virgo and A8 - no clients for insurance, no inheritance.

12th house with Saturn in Capricorn and UL and A10 and Saturn dispositing A11 and Jupiter dispositing AL, A7, A5, A9 and Indus Lagna - money from parent when they are alive.

4th house with Venus in Taurus with Moon and with A4 - personal savings from work in non-liquid stocks and pension-like funds and also the house.

So actually all my Water-Houses the condition for each one of them remain the same throughout life. So insurance is NOT for me. And I have not inheritence to talk of. Whatever I have is from the 12th house (money from parents WHEN THEY ARE ALIVE) and the 4th house (personal savings in illiquid assets and the house).

Let's see entrepreneurship (revolutionary sole proprietorship) in my chart which is the 5th house.

(The 2nd to a House a breaks up the issues raised by House A into its components, so you can re-built into any structures you want. Specifically, 2nd to Saturn shows that which also shows teeth.)

Now as already indicated my Rahu is there in Gemini. Rahu rules Aquarius which has A11. More importantly, Rahu by being placed in the 5th is opposite the 11th which has AL, Indus Lagna, A5, A9, A7 and A2 too if you take into account Mars and Ketu disposits Scorpio on the 10th which has A2.

The thing is there is no need to borrow resources from the bank (8th house) to start up the entrepreneurship since 8th house has A8 there. Rahu in Gemin can standing by itslef can have a say on affairs of which Gemini is the karaka. Not need to rope in Mercury.

Now what kind of entrepreneurship needs little start-up capital? The answer is the entrepreneurship on the Internet represented by Gemini too. Aquarius which is the 9th to the Gemini and also ruled by Rahu also rules Internet and it has A11 on it.

Gemini also rules exchanges - a business involving exhcange of resources? (the 3rd Bhava which is 2nd to the Bhava of resources rules facilities that promote exchange).

Once the entrepreneurship is up and running, it can then progress to the 9th house of Libra, which then Venus can take over to give dividends in terms of milking the cow!

Hello,

Really interesting posts regarding entrepreneurship.

In my chart 6th lord aspects 5th lord from the 6th house. I am doing a sole proprietor business from May 2007. From Oct 2001 to April 2007 I was in partnership. But my business flourished more after doing business on my own.
