Hi Spidey:

That was good that you posted the sloka in english for many to follow but I felt it would be nice to also give sanskrit version beneath that so that those who can read sanskrit can read that directly since pronunciation then would become perfect. I even told Suniti but she was telling she did not know how to copy that here.
I also dont know. You are the best for that job I think :D .

Devji,

Thanks. The PDF is an on-screen version and hence, doesn't download - you have to read on screen or take a print out of the pages you want. You can get a downloadable version from Scribd.com, where you can register free before downloading the PDF.

But the audio MP3 files download - I have downloaded them.

Pranaams All

i wanted to post here the Devi Kshama Prarthana Stotra. Today is a very special day for me as after many many days i am able to take up some sadhana and before i start i want to say sorry to Her first for of all of my mistakes and sorry to all the people in my life that i have made mistakes with over the past few months.

In the famous Devi Aparadha-Ksamapana Stotra the famous line comes "kuputro jayate kvachid, api kumaata na bhavati" there can be a son who is bad but never a bad mother,
i hold this the same for Guru as well. The student may be bad but never the Master and so for my Guru is say "kushishyah jayate kvachid, api kuguruh NA bhavati.

Kshama Prarthana

Pranaams To all

Happy Gita Jayanti.

For this auspicious day i would like to put here the Bhagavad Gita Dhyaana Shlokas, composed by Madhusudana Saraswati. some of them are very popular like मूकं करोति वाचालं पङ्गुं लंघयते गिरिम्...and all of them are very beautiful.
I have put together many different translations here and please forgive any mistakes.

om paarthaaya pratibodhitaam bhagavataa naaraayanena svayam
vyaasena grathitaam puraanamuninaa madhye mahaabhaaratam.
advaitaamritavarshinim bhagavatim ashtaadashaadhyaayinim
ambaa tvaamanusandadhaami bhagavadgiite bhavedveshinim

Om. Oh Mother Bhagavad Gita from which Partha was enlightened by Lord
Narayana Himself, which was placed in the middle of the
Mahabharata by the Sage Vyasa. which showers the nectar
of knowledge, which is glorious, which contains eighteen chapters, and which
is an antidote to samsara, I constantly meditate upon Thee.

namo'stu te vyaasa vishaalabuddhe phullaaravindaayatapatranetra .
yena tvayaa bhaaratatailapurnah prajvaalito jnaanamayah pradipah

Salutation unto thee, Oh Vyasa, whose intellect is vast, with beautiful
eyes like petals of a full-blown lotus, who with the essence of the mahabharata
lit the lamp of Wisdom.

prapannapaarijaataayatotravetraikapaanaye .
jnaanamudraaya krshnaaya gitaamritaduhe namah

Salutation to Krishna, who holds a cane in one hand and the other in jnanamudra ,
who has milked the nectar Gita.
who is the Parijat to all those who surrender unto Him,

sarvopaniṣado gāvo dogdhā gopālanandanaḥ
pārtho vatsaḥ sudhirbhoktā dugdhaṁ gītāmṛtaṁ mahat

The Upanishads are the cows milked by Gopāla, the son of Nanda, and Arjuna is the calf.
Wise and pure men drink the milk, the supreme, immortal nectar of the Gita

vasudevasutam devam kamsachaanuuramardanam.
devakiparamaanandam krshnam vande jagadgurum

I salute to Lord Krishna, the divine son of Vasudeva, the destroyer of Kamsa
and Chanura, the supreme bliss of Devaki, the Teacher of the Universe.

The battle-river-with Bhisma and Drona as its banks, with Jayadratha as its
water, with the King of Gandhara as the blue water-lily, with Salya as the
shark, Kripa as its current, Karna as its high waves, with Asvathama and
Vikarna as terrible crocodiles, Duryodhana as its whirlpool-was indeed crossed
over by the Pandavas with Lord Keshava as the boatman.

story of Lord Hari, which is joyously drunk day after day by bees who are the good
people , which is the destroyer of the imperfections of Kali-Age-- bring
about supreme good to us

Salutation to That God whom Brahma, Varuna, Indra, Rudra and Maruta praise with
divine hymns, whom the singers of Sama Veda invoke by the Vedas along with the
related branches of knowledge and the Upanishads, whom the Yogis see with
their minds focused on Him in meditation, whose limit the Devas and Asuras do
not know.

And Muthuswami Dikshitar composed songs on each of the 9 navagrahas in different ragas and talas.
Of course, Purandaradasa actually composed on Sarasikalsha or Krishna saying he is controller of the navagrahas or he Himself is the Navagrahas, but Dikshitar kritis are exclusively devoted to the nine navagrahas, describing their looks, characteristics etc.

Pranaam all
here is a bhajan composed by Goswami Tulsidasji
its part of Vinaya Patrika and on Ganga Devi

Jai-jai bhagirathnandini, muni-chay-chakor-chandini,
nar-naag-bibudh-bandini jai jahnu baalikaa |
bisnu-pad-sarojjaasi, ees-seespar bibhaasi,
tripathgaasi, punyaraasi, paap-chhaalikaa
bimal bipul bahsi baari, seetal trayataap-haari,
bhanvar bar bibhangtar tarang-maalikaa |
purjan poojophaar, sobhit sasi dhavaldhaar,
bhanjan bhav-bhaar, bhakti-kalpthaalikaa
nij tattbaasee bihang, jal-thar-char pasu patang,
keet, jatil taapas sab saris paalikaa |
tulsi tav teer teer sumirat raghubans-beer,
bichrat mati dehi moh-mahish-kaalikaa

Oh Bhaagirathi! Glory, all glory to you. You are like the moonbeams for the chakoras of numerous sages. Humans, serpents and gods pray to you.
Victory to Daughter of Jahnu! You have emerged from Lord Vishnus' lotus feet .are resplendent on Lord Shiva's head and you flow as three gushing streams through the three paths of heaven eart and patala. You are like a treasury of punya or virtuous deeds and remover of sins
You are carrying immensely pure water. That water is cool and gets rid of the threefold suffering of mankind. You are wearing a garland of beautiful eddies and frolicking waves. Your white stream which is like the moon, is being beautified with gifts which the town-dwellers have given as offerings to you. That gushing current is the destroyer of this world's burdensome cycle of birth and death and is like a trench for protecting the kalpavrikasha of bhakti.
With equal care you look after the birds, aquatic beings, terrestrial beings, animals, winged beings, insects and ascetics having matted hair, who live on your banks. O Goddess Ganga, you assume the form of Kalika for killing the Mahishasur of delusion!
Give such wisdom to me that is Tulsidas, so that he can roam on your shores while meditating upon Lord Raghunath.

From Shiva Maanas Puja

Oh Lord Shiva you are my atma, Girija is my mind, Your guards are my Pranas, My body is your temple, My worship is all that I do and experience by my organs, My sleep is Samadhi, My walking and traveling is your pradakshina. Anything i speak is all your stotras. Everything I do is only your worship.

Here is a great shloka from Paaduka Shasram of Swami Desikan that is supposed to be parihara for evil influences of all 9 planets:

749. kanakaruchirA kAvyAKhyAthA shanaIscharaNOchithA
shrithagurubuDhA BhAsvadhrUpa dhvijADhipasEvithA
vihithaviBhavA nithyam viShNO: padhE maNipAdhukE!
thvamasi mahathI vishvEShAm na: shuBhA grahamaNdalI

Oh Manipaaduka! You have a gold-lustre of red hue. You have a vital
place in Ramayana etc. You move about only slowly. Gurus and learned
ones cling to You. You shine like the sun. You are worshipped by
eminent Brahmins. You stay put to the Lord's Feet permanently. (The
planets, namely, the red Angaraka, Sukra alias Kavya, Sani who is
slow moving, Guru and Budha, Soorya and Chandra-these encircle in
their paths in the celestial sphere. They will prove auspicious in
specific periods, being otherwise at other times.) But You are always
auspicious as a peculiar planetary combination, unusual this way,
conferring benefits on us permanently.

Hi Sudarshan:

The sloka given by you was the one suggested last year for all to be chanted during the grahana period to win over the effects of planets, since there were many grahanas and there were some not very good planetary combinations. That was being suggested by seers in the TV.
