Very difficult start to Guru Dasha

Hello all,

Does the Guru dasha give very bad results in the start when it is neecha? It would seem that it also receives a bit of neechbhanga in my chart but I am not sure.

I have faced disease after disease and have had terrible luck in my job search so far due to visa problems.

I have heard that the Guru dasha gives gradually better results as time progresses, but this seems like a worse start than any period in Rahu.
