Hello All.
The Wodeyar royal family of Mysore has a 400 year old curse by which they never have male children and are forced to adopt nephews or cousins etc to continue the lineage...
The newly adopted Son and the current Maharaja, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar was blessed with a son.....has the curse been removed?
At first glance, this seems like a spectacular horoscope but with a potent Kala Sarpa Yog....
The details of the boy are

Re: Will this child be able to remove the curse?
Moon in Kemdrum Yoga though in own sign and strong in Paksha Balum. 9L+10L in 4H both from Lagna and Moon[ Very strong Rajyoga]. Venus Mars exchange as 4th lord and 5th lord is another Rajyoga both from Lagna and Moon. So two Rajyoga involving 4H and 4th lord[ Huge landed property]. 2L sun and 11L Venus in 5H [Lakhmi Sthan] aspecting 11H, a very strong Dhan Yoga. 8L Saturn and 12th lord Mercury in 6H[ Vipreeet Rajyoga].

Re: Will this child be able to remove the curse?
Thanks ADC...It seems that the royal family has properties valued at Rs 10,000 Crore ( a very conservative estimate btw) so ur analysis is spot on...His father also owns a fleet of 15 nos of luxurious cars on his own...so all these indications have already come true.....
Re: Will this child be able to remove the curse?
Thanks joyd for the response....I was just reading up and it says that all the Maharajahs backward of some 400 years never had any male heir...so in this case a male heir has already been born so the curse must have lifted right..otherwise the birth would not be possible....
I tried to find the Yaduveer horoscope details but just know that he was born on 24 March 1992 at Bangalore, no time available.....

What i was most interested was the 400 year old curse....would you be able to analyse it further in that framework...there is also a bful Kala Sarpa Dosha from what i can see....so was just like kind of more interested to understand it....

Re: Will this child be able to remove the curse?
Interesting info on how they got the curse.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/in ... -heir.html
Few questions first
1. How did you manage to get the exact birth & time of someone from the wodeyar family? I would think if indeed they had a curse for several centuries they would like to keep the time and birth of a new born private.
2. The wodeyar family with all their riches couldn't manage to get rid of this problem through penance /mantras/rituals etc? Very surprising.
3. This looks like a planned delivery especially since moon is in lagna as well (just guessing). Would you also happen to know whether the birth was caesarian?
Coming to the chart, wow, isn't it just picture perfect? D-9 in Jhora shows so many soothing blues (4 planets in own houses ) and per some own house can be better than exaltation since planet feels at home.
As joyd mentioned, need birth time of parent to see if curse might be there or not. In this chart, it doesn't look like there is any. A benefic planet should be aspected by 2 or more malefics to qualify for a curse(you may check Vedic Remedies for Curses by Sanjay Rath online).
Coming to the question of children/spouse -
- Ketu in 7th from both lagna/moon
- 5th lord mars 12 signs away with Jupiter. Jupiter-Mars both friends well placed in d-9.
- Sun in 5th is generally not considered good for progeny however it is not a fire sign so better. However, Sun is in Jyeshta nakshatra pada 2 which is owned by Capricorn ruled by Saturn. As you know Saturn is bitter enemy of Sun. In D-9, Sun comes into capricorn again so not ideal.
- From Aries AL, Sun as lord of 5th sitting in 8th. 7th lord Venus in 8th with malefic sun.
- Additionally, even though ashtakvarga scores are debatable, 5th and 7th houses have low points of 20 & 19 each.
To summarise, no curses as such IMHO, relations with spouse may not be congenial, progeny may be a challenge but can be there. Frankly speaking, it is difficult to confirm which is more problematic - spouse or progeny.
Let the boy grow up a bit, he is not even 6 months now:). Kala sarpa not a problem everytime. Even Margaret Thatcher(known as Iron Lady) had it.

Re: Will this child be able to remove the curse?
http://qr.ae/TUTJ4F- Convincing scientific explanation of all 3 curses.
Wodeyars married within their Urs community. There were only about a dozen of “well bred” inter-married Urs Families from which all the spouses of the Wodeyar family came from. This may have caused something called “inbreeding depression”. Only 10 out 19 rulers didn’t have heirs. All the adopted rulers had heirs but their second generation did not, because of this “inbreeding depression”.
IMO, the entire curse story can also be a cover-up to avoid the embarassment associated with being a king and childless at the same time. Definitely helps when successive generations have this problem.
