While reading BPHS for the effects of Chandra dasha and Mangala Bhukti, this question came up.

Chapter 53.Effects of the Antar Dashas in the Dasha of Chandra
7-8) ....Great happiness and enjoyment of comforts will be derived, if Mangal is in his exaltation Rasi, or in his own Rasi.
9-12) Distress to the body, losses at home and in agricultural production, losses in business
dealings, antagonism, or adverse relations with servants (employees) and the king, separation
from kinsmen and hot temperament will be the evil effects in the Antar Dasha of Mangal, if
he is placed in Ari (6), Randhr(8), or Vyaya(12) from Lagna.......

The question is, what happens if Mangal is in exaltation, while also being in the 8th house for Mithuna (Gemini) lagna?
What takes precedence when conflicting rules come into play?
Any insights will be appreciated.

Re: Exaltation vs. 8th house
Lord 11th house in 8th, though exalted would indicate gains after struggle and hindrances. Being Mars, these will be short-lived gains. Lord of 6th in 8th is not bad as it would help in getting rid of major health issues in Mars MD or AD.
Re: Exaltation vs. 8th house
I have exalted moon in 8th and it sucks.
It gives health issues and unintentional self destructive tendencies.

Dear Friends..
Anything in charts should be seen in and with totality.Aftar ji how you are analysing the dasa-bhukthi.please answer my this small question first. If you are seeking reply with respect to your chart means, please provide those details [not your birth info but asdnt and placements of Mars-moon both in D9 and D1 charts and their star dispositors].I am advising the same to Lighter ji also. The rules framed by sage Parashar are never conflicting and at the same they have a deeper sense in them and asking us to meditate on such rules..
