Predicting/Confirming time of marriage from Narayana Dasha

Predicting time of marriage could be easily done from Vimsottari (Nakshatra) dasha and in combination with transit of Ju, Sa, and Ra/Ke. However, at times, this method fails to materialize.

Pt. Sanjay Rath has stated that “The readings from all dasas can fail, but never Narayana dasa. This is the king of the dasas. He who understands this dasa well does not need anything else. But understanding Narayana is not so easy”
Thus, if Vimsottari dasha and transit show high possibility of marriage, one should also check Narayana dasha for confirming the same.

Narayana dasha (ND) is a bit complex as it is Rashi dasha and is based on the progression of Lagna in one’s life. As one dasha ends and another starts, one rasi stops being the progressed lagna and another rasi gains that status. Using the dasha lagna as the reference, we can find out events that happen in that ND.

Based on my research, below are some primary rules IMHO that I have found to be helpful in checking/confirming the time of marriage from ND only (not to be confused or applied w.r.t Vimsottari dasha)

Rule 1:
MD and AD should be connected to 7H, 7L, UL, or A7 (in natal and/or in D9)

Rule 2:
Venus or Ketu is usually associated with MD and AD

Rule 3:
Taking MahaDasha Rashi as lagna, there should be association (aspect, conjunction, parivartana) pointing to marriage as:
- MD Rashi Lagna with natal lagna, natal Lagna lord, 7H from dasha rashi lagna and 7H from natal lagna, UL, and A7 (eg. MD lagna lord in UL or 7H from natal lagna, etc) in D-1 and D-9
- AD Rashi lord will also show above connections including with DK (spouse karaka)
- 7H and its lord from MD Rashi lagna will be involved in the above associations.

Other applicable rules often seen but not necessary
Rule 3:
Confirm with SAV and AV and planets scoring the highest in dasha rashi’s are usually AK or DK or associated with it

Rule 4:
- In rare cases, 9H and 9L is also predominantly involved… often seen in more than one unions.

In addition to it, as the dasha lagna progresses, repeated unions/marriages could again be confirmed with the same rules mentioned above. Below are some examples of celebrities.

I am still researching on this topic and I’ll appreciate if members could share their birth details and marriage date in this post. I need some real birth charts. Tried to use few from Relationships section but it was difficult to search for specific details in plethora of information/threads.

In regards to your question:
7th house is strong in this chart hence the start of dasha was from 7H (shiva rather than brahma/lagna). So in this case, first dasha lord will be Saggi/Guru and the 7H from it is lagna and hence the results/deliverance should be from shiva (7H) from dasha rashi lord which is Gemini/Mercury

From Pt. Sanjay Rath's analysis - Rashi is stronger when:
(1) Rasi has more planets; and when equal THEN:
(2) Rasi is aspected by Guru / Buddha / or Bhavesh (lord of house); and when aspected by equal
numbers of these three THEN:
(3) Different oddity shows stronger Rasi (Deha – Dasa Rasi and Paka Rasi – Rasi of Lord have different
oddity) IF BOTH HAVE SAME AND DIFFERENT ODDITY THEN:
(4) Higher longitude (Lord of Rasi has higher longitude)

I am under the impression that while using Rasi dasa we are supposed to see only Rasi drishti not Graha dristi?
I notice that you are using Sc and Sg for reading. As the ND has started from 7th I was under the impression that
you are supposed to see the results from Ta and Ge. Are you trying to say that only for the first MD one is expected to see the 7th?

I thought your question was why in your chart, start of Narayan dasha (from the day you were born) was from 7H, Saggi instead of Lagna.

For analyzing with Narayan dasha, Lagna progresses with each mahadasha rashi. For the marriage date that you had provided, native was in Sc-Saggi narayan dasha... hence the above.

Rashi drishti is separate and not to be confused here. I haven't tried it but if you find a link then let me know. This is still work in progress although I do find the above rules quite promising for predicting/confirming time of marriage. The same could be done from Narayan Dasha for D-9... although I am still working on it.
