In D9,
JHora is showing Rahu in 6th house conjunct Saturn and Ketu in 12th house.
Parasharas Light 9.0 is showing Rahu in 5th House, Ketu in 11th house.
Astrosage showing same results as JHora.
But people claim Parashara's Light is the most accurate.
So which one is true?
Rahu Ketu position in D9 differs in other reports

Re: Rahu Ketu position in D9 differs in other reports
Some reports show Rahu with 22.25 which falls in Aries navamsa. some reports show Rahu with 23.40 which falls into Taurus navamsa.
Any help would be appreciated.

hello techprince,
There are two type of calculations for the nodes, one is true nodes and the other is
mean nodes. In jhora, you may go to preferences > related to calculations > planet calculation options
The last option given in that dialogue menu, you can choose Mean nodes or True nodes.
truly yours,

I realize your dilemma particularly since jyotish scholars have proposed their binary preferences (This but not That!).
As a starting position, since we go to such pains to calculate and utilize the TRUE positions of all planets etc, why must we then settle for mean positions of the nodes?
Mean positions, assume that all heavenly bodies (planets) follow a circular orbital path, whereas, undoubtedly, their actual paths are elliptical? Which is taken into account by TRUE positional calculations.

I still cannot decide between true and mean nodes.
With true nodes, rahu goes into 5th house in Aries sign and Ketu in 11th house in Libra sign. Here Ketu is in pushkara navamasa but not rahu.
With mean nodes, rahu goes into 6th house in taurus sign conjuncts saturn and ketu in 12th house in scorpio sign. Here Rahu goes into pushkara navamasa but ketu.
