Do conjunctions mean the same in D9, as in D1? Are the planetary karakatwas still in effect when interpreting divisional charts? Eg. Sun Rahu conjunction in D9, would it still mean same as in D1?

Jupiter can be in Aries, second pada and Chandra could be in taurus 5th pada - so they are more than 30 deg apart but look at Navamsa and voila - there's a Gajakesari Yoga by Conjunction. Conjunction in Navamsa is thus devoid of meaning. Karaktwas are just one - the lordships of houses in natal chart and the natural significators.

Thanks ChandraLagna! I'm glad you shared your opinion on this matter and it makes good sense. Then should navamsas be used to confirm the dignity of planets only? Or is there much more to read from it?

Yes, it indicates the dignity of the planet. There is actually more one can do with the navamsa placements.
Map the navamsa depositor back into rasi and check the "support" in terms of D9 perspective. As an example, say in the placements I quoted above, Venus happens to be the navamsa depositor of both Guru and Chandra. Now check in Rasi, the placement of Venus with respect to both Guru and Chandra and you get a sense of what is the destined support for those planets and houses. Being in 6th or 8th to the afore mentioned planets means opposition or difficulties. Being in trines is being supportive.

Dear CLG,
Is the same mapping valid for other divisional charts?

Yes, the same concept is valid. No houses, no aspects, no conjunction at all in any vargas.

Dear CL,
If Navamsa is used to judge dignity of planets, do the concepts of Debilitation and Cancellation of Debilitation, also apply to Navamsa? Btw, what rules do you use to determine Neecha Bhanga? Thanks

Thank you for your response CL. However, the thread you referred to concerns specific instance of cancellation of debilitation observed in rasi due to placement in navamsa.
To clarify, my question above is whether debilitation is a phenomenon that can be observed directly on the navamsa chart i.e. does it matter if a planet is debilitated in navamsa? If so, where do you look to determine whether the debilitation in the navamsa has been cancelled?

Hi, I'm still learning. To answer your question, exaltation and debilitation is seen only in rasi. Navamsa placements are used to support rasi placements.

Sloka 2. When the Sun occupies in Mesha a Navamsa of Tula and is aspected by a malefic planet, the person born will be money less.simhamakaran wrote: does it matter if a planet is debilitated in navamsa? This gives an answer to the above - YES, it matters a great deal if a planet is neecha in Navamsa. One can check in rasi the placement of navamsa depositor for any mitigatory factors.

Hi Pralokitaa,
This is happening because the forum was initially on a different board & when we moved here, the references did not carry over correctly and completely. I suggest that you replace the "3.0" with "3.1" in the url manually and see if it helps get to the right url.

Re: Do conjunctions mean the same in D9, as in D1?
Dear ChandraLagna Ji,
Thanks Sir for the correction. It helped me to dig deeper into the problem.
I am just mentioning here for the new comers who would be facing this same problem in future.
Only changing 3_0 to 3.1 wont work.
the working link is "viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13964"
the link not working is "http://lightonvedicastrology.com/phpBB3 ... =6&t=13964"
So please add "https://www.lightonvedicastrology.com/w ... phpBB_3.1/" and then add the forum number or topic number of the link not working like "viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13964".
Thanks and best regards,

Hi ChandraLagna Admin Sir, the link issues still persist for me. None of the solutions mentioned in this page is working and upon clicking the link it directs to the forum home index. Any guidance in this regard would be much welcomedChandraLagna wrote: ↑21 Mar 2018Hi Pralokitaa,
