What's the meaning of a combust lagna lord in lagna? Thank you.
Lagna lord is always a "yogakaraka" (auspicious) planet. When lagna lord is combusted, loses much of his yogakaraka strength. When a planet is close to Sun, it loses its independent auspicious functions and qualities. Except for Mercury (intelligence), no planet is allowed to be combusted in the birth chart. But, as a lagna lord, Mercury's combustion is also not a good thing for physical health. Saturn, as a lagna lord is combusted in lagna house. Ascendant is normally treated as a main auspicious and management house in every chart. It signifies the struggle of life, success or failure in attempts, prosperity, etc. Ascendant is afflicted by its lord Saturn's combustion and 8th lord Sun's placement. This would reduce - self-identity, expression, vitality, faith, resistance, self-care capability, etc. Have to face physical difficulties, emotional difficulties, a lack of emotional affinity, which makes feel more isolated and detached character, leads to serious, reserved nature, a weakness to confront adverse conditions, etc.

But still, there are some positives - Jupiter, a natural benefic aspecting Saturn and ascendant; Saturn is in its own sign, own house, Mars in 6th, etc.

Namaskar,

I am very confused between Chalit and Nirayani Bhav Chalit. In Chalit, Jupiter shifts from 1st house to 2nd house. Rahu shifts from 12th house to 1st house with Sun. In Narayani Chalit, Jupiter and Sun shift to 12th house with Rahu. Very confusing!

Post the birth details.
Lets see what goes where.

Another thing - There is only one type of chalit chart.
Can call it with any name.

I am a sidereal astrologer and use nirayana chalit chart.

Namaskar astrologer,

Yes this information is correct. Thank you for your response. I have installed JHora and it shows the planets as per the "Bhav Chalit". In that case, the Jupiter moves to the second house with Saturn, from the first house and Rahu moves to the first house with Sun and Mercury, from the 12th house. Ketu moves to the 7th house from the 6th house.

In Jhora, can change the house setting to "placidus house system"

I think "placidus system" is not selected/chosen.
can select from popup menu on "house listing" page.
If this is done, then, Rahu comes in 12th, Jupiter in 1st, etc...

@ astrostar
What is the difference in reading from someone who originally had the planets in same house for rasi and bhava?
Also my chart ascendant will still be Gemini ? And Jupiter will remain in Gemini 3. But you are saying consider Jupiter in 12? That’s a contradiction? Does that make me cancer ascendant? I understand that Jupiter will behave like in an enemy sign but give result of 12? What about result as lord of 7?
Can you elaborate on the aspects where planets have moved in bhava? Thank you

Reading Difference -

Planets in same place in both Rasi chart and Bhava chart -
Easy to study significations of planets for an astrologer who has weak mathematical/logical mind.

Planets in different places in Rasi chart and Bhava chart -
Nearly impossible to study significations of planets, who has weak mathematical/logical brain.

An astrologer must possess higher level astrological/mathematical/logical skills to understand such bhava chart. Must also have some minimum knowledge on geography, astronomy, and many other astrology related subjects to understand the definition and usage of Bhava chart.

Ascendant never changes. It is Gemini.
Sour38 wrote:

In Rasi chart Jupiter remains in 3rd sign Gemini.
In Bhava chart, Jupiter comes to 12th house.
have to say like this - Jupiter is in 3rd sign, and in 12th house.
Sour38 wrote:

No. It would never become Cancer ascendant.

Sour38 wrote:

7th lord Jupiter gives results of 12th house.

Sour38 wrote:

7th lord Jupiter, is a badhaka house lord. Spouse becomes a badhaka. But wait..
Spouse gives pains, only when there is a negative signification.
Jupiter in 12th house, has got one negative signification.
12th house indicates secret enemies, separation, etc.
So, spouse may become a secret enemy in life.

Saturn aspects 5,9,12 houses and Moon
Mars aspects 5,8,9 houses and Sun,Venus
Moon aspects 6H
Mercury aspects 1H, Jupiter
Sun, Venus aspect 2H, Mars

oppositions
