Primary Gemstones Cover Everything - So Do We Need Secondary Gemstones?

Post by Khoo Hock Leong » 31 May 2017

Hi Learned Members

The 9 primary gemstones covers the nine planets in the Jyotish chart. So they should be able to cover all aspects of our life. So do we still need secondary gemstones?

The short answer is YES.

Imagine a mountain.

At the peak of the mountain, all the surrounding spiritual forces converge to there. It is like the centre of gravity (actually its centre of gravity is within its central mass in the middle, but here we are talking about the spiritual forces existing as the wind ie. vayu, and the sun rays ie. agni, and the rain ie. jalal, and the mass of earth below supporting the peak ie. the earth element and ether since the peak is more exposed, so the focus on the peak will do here).

If you go to either side of the mountain, there will be less balance of the elements. For example if you go to the windward side of the mountain you may get more wind, if you go to the leeward side of the mountain you may get more rain etc. So sometimes we need more of the planet concerned than what the primary gemstone can tap from. So we resort to the secondary gemstons. It is just like the least common denominator principle of the primary gemstone may not work for us sometime although most of the time it does. Thus the secondary gemstones are resorted to.

Best Regards
Khoo
