Hello!
I have Saturn in Libra in 7th house in natal, and in navamsa it sits in the 7th house again but in Aries - with Sun and Mars, creating a NBRY (if that applies in navamsa which I gather it can). Does this create vargottama by sign or is it still considered to be in Aries, but just acting differently, after some time?
NBRY = vargottam?

Vargottam term refers to the placement of planet in same sign in rahi as well as navamsa.
Some scholars believe placement in same house too as Vargottam but in classics there is no such reference.

Vargottama is a position attained by a planet occupying same sign in Rasi and Navamsa. Birth in
Vargottama lagna is considered to be most auspicious. Those born in Vargottama Lagna able to fight and come out easily and enjoy good results in the dasha and antara of vargottama planet.
you saturn exalted in birth chart but debilitaed in d9 so it is different from vargottama
yet saturn in 7th house is considered good
