What is the significance when the lagna and the lagna lord is vargottama & bhavottama.
Dear h&f
Every sign consist of 30 deg and it is further divided into 9 navamsa of 3 deg 20 min each.
So when we call 2H in D-9, it does not have the same meaning as that of D-1.
So Bhavottam is not same as Vargottam.

In this post, I've mentioned that Vargottam is actually some particular degrees in every sign where the same lordship for that rashi & navamsa.

Now ur question, Whenever LL is Vargottam, it become strong and in its dasha it shd give gud results.
God bless you
Neeraj
Dear Dr Neeraj,

Thanks for your reply, let me be more specific -I have Venus in Aries in the 7H in rasi, navamsa & many other charts.I would like to know the significance of the same (if any)

Regards.

Neeraj,

What about the principle of "Bhavattam" i.e., if the planet occupies same house in D1 and D9?

What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you,

Vidhya

Neeraj-ji,

I am also having this question on Moon Vargottama similar to k123a.
Dob - <<edited>>.
Should I consider the Lagna kundli or chandra kundli when looking at D1?

I used Jaganath Hora for shadbala strength.
Thank you and God bless.

iN BRIEF a planet in same sign in natal chart and navmansha it is very beneficial planet and even if placed in evil houses it will deliver some good results.....the degree compatibility plays the biggest role here
for example....Saturn holds the same sign in natal and navmansha chart and placed in house 8th.... the degree of ascendant is 5 and degree of Saturn is also 5 then the evil effects of the 8th house will be nullified, if placed in good houses then it will deliver good results for more details visit my fb page or my blog just type amazing astrology mohit pandey on google

Hi Neeraj Sir,
Thank you for the interesting discussion and active participation in the thread. I wish to know the scope of a Vargottama planet. I assume it strengthens a planet without affecting it's benefic or malefic qualities.
Would you please enlighten me about the following two combinations?
#1. When a "maraka" is Vargottama. In my case mercury is one of the maraka and Vargottama. I noticed, stunting of progress (the harder I push, the stubborn it gets!) and various depressive tendencies during mercury antardasha. Or should I look to other indicators for my problems?
#2. What's your view of a Lagnesh being an Atmakaraka placed in both Arudha and Karakamsa also happens to be Vargottama? In my case it's all Guru! So, Guru is unusually prominent. But guru mahadasha is far off. So does this mean the Vargottama effects are merely flash in the pan moments for me? (AD & PD)
Thank you!

Dear DS
I agree to both of your points.
1. Maraka planet is strengthened by being vargottam.
2. You shd get effect of Vargottam Jup in its AD/PD.
God bless you
Neeraj

Dear Dr. Neeraj Sir,

If you wouldn't mind please be kind enough to reply to my questions regarding Vargottama and pushkara navamsa at a free time!

Great to hear regarding your clear interpretations on Vargottam planets and its relevancy to debilitation, rashi gandant and retrogression under this thread. Really thanks regarding that clear discussion because it was very difficult to find such logical clarifications on those instances from internet for knowledge seekers.
Thanks!

Hi Dr.Neeraj,

Please comment on Vargotham and P.Navamsa AtmaKaraka Venus in Conjunction with Yogakaraka Saturn in 8th house Sagittarius being aspecting the sign lord Jupiter in retrograde from 2nd house.

Also, what can i expect from my Venus MD as my Venus is debilitated in my D10 Chart.

Dear Dr.Neeraj,

May I request your view by considering these factors:

- Venus (AK/ KL/ 7L/ 12L) is in Revati Nak 4th Pada; therefore, it is Vargottam and in Nakshatra Gandanta at 28.38.31
- Mercury (8L/ 11L), Nak Lord of Venus, is in 12th to Venus; Mercury is in Shatabhisha Nak 2nd Pada at 10.45.38
- Jupiter (in mutual exchange with Venus) is in Krittika Nak 2nd Pada at 1.21.38

dear csvaasan as Venus is in Revati Gandaanta & being AK as Vargottama. My tradition says that AK being Vargottama is the blessings of Vishnu! However that said we need to see where Venus is placed. In your case it'll be in 5th house. But aspects should also be taken.

Vargottama actually means, of the particular Varga it is uttama! So, if you use Raasi tulya Navaamsha Venus will be in 5th house only which tells about the Graha's intention. So, it could mean your children could be artistic & also your spouse will love you! Of course I need to see total Jaataka as a whole.

Hope you understand

Dear Neeraj,
DOB: 15/11/1974 @ 06:38 AM, Bangalore.
I’ve JUP in Aquarius as Vargottama. Also I was told that JUP aspecting most of the planets is good as well.
However so I really get a good support from JUP!
Your thoughts please.

Dear Neeraj Sir,
i see few planets in my chart vargottama D1 and D9 , but not sure if they would give any results. Jupiter dasa was in early periods of life when i had to undergo operation. and Moon and Sun Dasa's are way long.
Pls let me know if they really stand by the definition of vargottama and what effects they would deliver.

DOB: 15.10.1987; pob: Chennai, India, tob: 07.41am
thanks!
