Great Wealth Yoga by Parasara - But Which Ascendant Has the Greatest Wealth?

Post by Khoo Hock Leong » 08 Sep 2017

Hi Learned Members

Parasara mentioned that planets in their own signs in BOTH the 5th and 11th house ie. involving the 5th-11th axis, is the BEST YOGA FOR WEALTH.

11th is gains. 5th is 7th to 11th so 5th is spiritual gains, supporting the material gains of the 11th. That is why you need spirituality to have more gains in life (promotion in jobs, big profits in business etc.).

Now Venus rules money. So the Libra Ascendant, which is Venus Moolatrikona sign, if Sun and Moon is in Cancer OR Leo in the 11th with Saturn in Capricorn or Aquarius in the 5th, gives a yoga of fantastic wealth and spirituality.

Plus you know Sun and Moon are royal planets who give very good wealth and Saturn is the planet that takes care of both materiality and spirituality and as far as the 5th house is concerned, for this matter ie. tackling materialtiy and spirituality, is exactly the arena where Saturn's forte is best made use of. (The 7th to any house A is different from house A and yet similar, just like your wife; so 5th is both a material and spiritual house being the 7th to the 11th house of gains and learning about spirituality via education - this point is very subtale since 11th is the 8th to the 4th of any education and of course the Vedas).

Now in earlier blog I mentioned meditating on Krishna with RIGHT HAND boon gesture and LEFT HAND giving protection leads to fulfillment. This is essentially the Sun and Moon position in the 11th (Moon is Krishna, Vishnu's incarnation, but Krishna being the Lord Supreme (meaning Vishnu) is also represented by the Sun itself besides Rama which is the basic incarnation of Vishnu via the Sun.

In the case of Sani placed in the 5th house in its own sign, the hand gestures are reversed. The RIGHT HAND is the one offering protection with the LEFT HAND exhibiting the boon gesture. People chant OM SHANEI NAMAH with a darsan on a sage exhibiting these hand gestures (right for protection and left for boon giving) instead of the hand gestures exhibited by Krishna.

What all this shows is that protection from Shani is mainly through spirituality and the protection is in the forefront - you become a mendicant with great spiritual wealth with your rosaries, water pot and your staff (the long stick) but in the background you will be offered alms throughout the future so your materialistic needs are also taken care of.

For the Sun and Moon which represents the government and householder respectively, the boon giving is in the foreground like the building of infrastructure and the daily tackling of household chore plus your bread and butter for the Sun and Moon respectively, the materialistic side of things is in the forefront (you must have the infrastructure first before private business can be done or for the householder, you must be active in your day to day tasks, visible to others, unlike the mendicant who goes to a lonely spot to pray), so the right hand gives the boon, and the left hand is the protection eg. the government would defend its private citizens in case there is any unrest, or the householder would defend those who depend on him in case there is any outside aggression towards his family members.

But anyway, do you have the Libra Ascendant and the Great Wealth Yoga by Parasara? Care to share your experience how you juggle between 2 compartments of your life?

Best Regards

Some Vedic Astrologers consider Libra sign to represent the merchant scales.

I disagree.

The Vedic Sidereal Signs represent our soul. Thus Libra actually also represent the scales that seek a balance between our materialistic and spiritual growth. Libra is a Rajastic sign which is between Sattvic which is heavy in spirituality and Tamasic which is heavy in materiality.

Now let's do some simple arithmetic.

Saturn in 5th in own sign represents spirituality and materiality.

Sun in 11th in own sign mostly represent materiality.

But Sun debilitates in Libra and Saturn is exalted in materiality. So from this dimension, spirituality wins as well.

So 2 points for spirituality and 2 points for materiality.

So a perfect balance between materiality and spirituality when someone with a Libra Ascendant has a great wealth yoga in his chart.

In actual fact, if the yoga is the one where Sun and Moon is in Cancer in the 11th with Saturn in Capricorn in the 5th, the materiality and spirituality components would be still in balance.

Here the Moon is not debilitated in Libra unlike the Sun, but Saturn is still exalted in Libra. But Saturn is in Capricorn which is not its Moolatrikona sign, so both its materiality and spirituality components should be less. But Capricorn is an Earth sign so the materiality component jumps back up again. Moon is the primary Ascendant to be taken as Lagna after the Physical Ascendant. But Moon is more spiritual. So its power is more spiritual than material as compared with the Sun in the 11th.

So the overall balance is still there. You work out the simple arithmetic yourself.

Is int this also true if there is a Parivartan between Sun in Aquarius in the 5H and Saturn in Leo in the 11H for a libra ascendant
or Moon in 5H of Capricorn and Saturn in 11H of Cancer for a Virgo ascendant.

Thanks

Hi Khoo, I have Libra ascendant with exalted Sun, moon in Cancer and Saturn in 11th Leo with Mars,Rahu and Jupiter.

Ketu in 5th house in Mars nakshatra while Mars,Rahu and Jupiter in 11th house in Ketu's nakshatra. Isn't it called 5-11 axis?

While Saturn is still in 11th house, it is in Sun's nakshatra. Please enlighten!

Would be great if someone analyze the combination in my chart.

Khoo
Wouldnt having sun and saturn in 5-11 axis become a warlike situation...as both planets are not compactible. Also sun will be helmed by the saturnian power for the most time....

And what about other rising signs ? Is this situation only favourable to libra ascendents?

Hi! How would Sun in 11th and Moon in 5th be for Cancer Asc? As we are talking about 5-11 axis. I have this combo and Sun mahadasha coming up. Thanks.
