The wisdom of not knowing......
Post
by Guest-14302 » 21 Jun 2016
Be helpless, dumbfounded,
unable to say yes or no,
then a stretcher will come from grace
to gather us up.
We are too dull-eyed to see that beauty.
If we say we can, we're lying.
If we say "No", we don't see it.
That "No" will behead us
and shut tight our window onto Spirit.
So let us rather not be sure of anything,
beside ourselves, and only that,
so miraculous beings come running to help.
Crazed, lying in a zero circle, mute,
we shall be saying finally,
with tremendous eloquence, "Lead us."
When we have totally surrendered to that beauty,
we shall be a mighty kindness.
- Jelaluddin Rumi
Sufi mystic poet
(1207-1273 C.E.)

The problem is not in the vedanta (Philosophy) but in the siddhanta (Achievement)
All these philosophies are grasped by the mind. but true spirituality lies in no mind. When the mind ceases to exist then the ego too vanishes. Then the real I surfaces and it is simply joy.
In this joy all concepts and philosophies vanish.
What people lack is personal experience.
When water can quench thirst people without searching for water actually start debating on it.
The need of the hour is the search for water.
Till that time whatever anyone thinks or feels is empty rhetoric stuff and nonsense.

Tintin,
Mental asylums are full of humans who are devoid of mind (mindless) and ego (egoless)...! Should we turn over the administration of human societies to those individuals...?

Undoubtedly, this sums up life and liveliness ! Rumi also said- The moment you bow your head to indescribable one; suddenly you feel blessed !

"Beauty is complete order.
But most of us have not that sense of beauty in our lives.
We may be great artists, great painters, expert in various things, but in our own daily life, with all the anxieties and miseries, we live, unfortunately, a very disordered life.
It is a fact.
You may be a great scientist, you may be a great expert in a subject, but you have your own problems, struggles, pain, anxieties and the rest of it.
We are asking, is it possible to live in complete order within, not impose discipline, control, but to inquire into the nature of this disorder, what are the causes, and to dispel, move away, wash away the cause.
Then there is a living order in the universe."

The truth of suffering (Dukkha)
The truth of the origin of suffering (Samudāya)
The truth of the cessation of suffering (Nirodha)
The truth of the path to the cessation of suffering (Magga)
Dukkha "incapable of satisfying,"painful.Life in this "mundane world,"with its craving and clinging to impermanent states and things is dukkha, unsatisfactory and painful.
Samudaya, the origination or arising of dukkha. Dukkha, and repeated life in this world, arises with taṇhā, "thirst," craving for and clinging to these impermanent states and things. This craving and clinging produces karma which leads to renewed becoming, keeping us trapped in rebirth and renewed dissatisfaction
Niroda, the cessation of dukkha. By stopping this craving and clinging nirvana is attained,no more karma is produced, and rebirth and dissatisfaction will no longer arise again.
Magga, the path to the cessation of, or liberation from dukkha. By following the Noble Eightfold Path craving and clinging will be stopped, and rebirth and dissatisfaction are ended.

Dr Anjnaji,
More knowledge leading to more confusion, should ideally lead to more humility

Yes, this is a famous poem by Rumi. I included this in an article because as astrologers we often jump to conclusions with arrogant all-knowing attitude, whereas the humility and surrender to ask to be guided by spirit in understanding leads to astronishing insights sometimes.
