Greatness of Hanuman Chalisa

I have been meaning write an article on Hanuman Chalisa for a while now but never got to it. Around May 28, I started writing the “Benefits of chanting HC and its Greatness” and had to leave it incomplete as I got pre-occupied elsewhere. Then on May 31, I saw this article by Paulji. (http://lightonvedicastrology.com/dailyj ... 053012.htm). He has described it so well!!!!

I have been going through a really rough emotional turmoil in my life almost to the phase where I had stopped trusting anyone, stopped believing in goodness, and reached to the “I am doomed!” state. For a while, I had lost trust in the divine supreme power and had started believing that nothing good was ever going to happen/last in my life.

Then one fine day I just started reciting HC, I was neither asked nor told to do so. I just started reading it on a regular basis. The past couple of months I have been reciting it at least 9-11 times daily.

Based on my experience, I can completely attest that HC is a greatest source of comfort and strength. After a couple of days of continuous recitation, I realized a sudden change in me. The situations or people in my life had not changed but it felt like I had this invisible shield protecting me from any evil. This is one greatness of HC that I have witnessed personally… I started believing in myself, the goodness in people, and above all else in God.

HC is a powerful remedy against any ills, bad dashas, bad transits, negative effects of planets, etc…. basically it just wards off all negative energies and bestows abundant strength to the native to withstand anything. It is also said that continuous chanting of certain dohas of HC are capable of bestowing specific results. It is said that Sanjay Dutt recited HC over 100 times when he was in jail and two monkeys climbed the prison walls and accepted bananas from him. I have heard similar stories from others and have witnessed an almost similar incident on more than one occasion. I also know several people who can vouch for its efficacy and share similar miracles in their lives.

HC is a miracle cure and one should recite it with utmost devotion and faith, to earn the grace of Lord Hanuman. So you see, why I was so happy to see/read Vaughnji’s article!

HC should be considered as a daily vitamin tablet rather than a medicine during difficult times. Thus, I would strongly suggest all members to recite HC on a daily basis.

Great article again Explorings....I have seen many people in my extended family who are true devotees of hanuman chalisa...and these people have sailed so moothly through their sade satti and dhaiyyas that we wonder why Shani's effect is zero on them. Also, they have very happy and properous family lives.

Pl clarify days of recitation and times of recitation.

There are no specific days nor times required. However, if you really want to try doing it on specific days try tues and sat... you can do it as many times as you want.

I recommend daily recital of HC (at least once a day)

Hanuman Chalisa gives peace, Purifies Thoughts and It improves the speech a lot.

Not everyone can be a Great speaker , But by reciting and worshiping HANUMAN CHALISA, one can overcome these things and can be a good speaker.

Hanuma is the great speaker, he never uses a word unnecessarily. He was appreciated by Lord Rama

Next couple of transits for Mars are problematic. So if Mars is malefic in your natal chart, don't expect much. Mars after a long stay will move to its dire enemy Mercury's sign (Virgo) where it will conjoin another Saturn. Later in Libra again it will conjoin Saturn and finally when it reaches its own house Scorpio, it will be afflicted by Rahu. Till Mars reaches Saggi or Capri... things will be challenging. If Mars plays a significant role in your chart eg Mars is LL or yogakaraka, etc. or if you are running an adverse Mars dasha/bhukti expect challenges.

Daily recitation of Hanuman Chalisa will help.

Hello Anu ji,

Some people may have some difficulties in worshiping the gods of opposite gender due to their inner feelings.

But its not at all true that one should not worship the gods who are opposite to their gender .

We all are the childrens of HIM/HER , No god will get angry if you worship. But as just like in our family,

some elders will not be friendly with us but still they'll love us. We may be very attached to our mother but not that much to father. in the same manner GOD and form of GODS have some differences.

That's why people warn the devotees in worshiping wrath form of GODS like KALI, DAS MAHAVIDYA Devathas etc. But the cool form of gods like the ones who we see the temples and photos regularly can be worshipped without having any doubts.

For some reason, I was told/have read that recitation of Bajraang Ban is not advisable and it should be done only in extreme cases. Daily recital of Bajrang Ban can get pain or more troubles in the long run. Anyone want to share their experiences with Bajrang Ban daily recitation.

Even I was under the impression that Bajrang Ban is done only when told by the guru. Not everyone should do Bajrang Ban. I knew one person who after getting diksha from the guru was told to recite Bajrang Ban to restore normalcy in life.

Please understand that if someone is going through the bad phase of life then he or she should not challenge the luck by chanting or reading such Mantra's.This can be proved better with an example like It is in your destiny that you will be in trouble for 1 year and during that period you read Bajrang Baan for 2 months.Those 2 months will be bit comfortable for you but that doesn't means that your 2 months will be deducted out of the year.Those 2 months of the comfort would be added in the year and this ways you will have to complete your trouble period of 12 months which later on becomes 14 months.

Disadvantages of Reading Bajrang Baan:

A)Bajrang Baan gets the work done but later on creates big issues.
B)A Person becomes confuses and senseless.
C)A Person becomes irritating and likes to stay alone.
D)All the work after few days gets reversed .
E)Business or Job Loss.
F)A Person becomes mentally unstable.
G)Highly demotivated.
H)Right Decision making power ends.

Personally, I have never recited it.

But common sense says that a benign god like Hanuman should never do harm to his devotee - whether man or woman - who recites Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrang Ban or Sankat Mochan Hanuman Ashtakam with faith and devotion.

I don't see why any of these hymns should be harmful for a trusting devotee.

All 3 are equally powerful and Hanuman has never said to anyone that he gets displeased by these hymns or by women.

We should not go for this scare mongering by such people who hold extremist orthodox ideas - this is a strategy to keep the powerful hymns under one's own control and deny the larger society from benefiting from it. For a long time this was done to the Vedic mantras, which were under exclusive control of a small group of people. Now this is being done to Hanuman hymns, because Hanuman is invoked by the majority of people in trouble.

My father taught me Hanuman Chalisa when I was like 10 year old. I was terribly sick at that time and my bed was next to small temple we have at home. I used to recite it with my father daily during his routine prayers. Within a week or two I knew it by heart (exalted ME... ) and since then its with HC that I start my daily prayers. The reason I bring up the history is because I am not recommending HC after reading some books. From personal experience I can 100% vouch for HC, that it gives you immense power to overcome any hurdles in life. For me its more of a connection you establish with powerful source of energy. Never used it as a remedy ...so cant comment on it.

Atleast three things I can vouch for that are time-tested, 'simple to follow' and give you internal strength to overcome any struggles -

1) Hanuman Chalisa - Read it loud and clear.
2) Durga Path - Any form is fine like I follow Maa Bagulamukhi (Pitambara Peeth).
3) Offering water to Sun during sunrise reciting beeja mantra, while Sun is still Red. You could do it till noon but earlier the better, since you should be able to look directly at the sun through the flowing water. You could google for the right procedure, which is very simple.

Dear Anu9,

First listen to it for a few days and get the pronunciation right.I would recommend MSS HANUMAN CHALISA rendition.After that once you get it by heart, please say it loudly.
