Residency issue resurfaced- will it be resolved this year?

A couple of years ago, I had a residency issue, which would have meant that I could have lost my home and would have had to leave to city because I cannot otherwise afford the prices here.
However, after a lot of struggle, it was resolved.

The issue has now resurfaced. Can someone please advise whether I will be able to succeed in my application to stay in my home where I currently am, or will have to leave?

The result is expected after June but the case begins in first week May.

I have two options if things go against me- one is to move to another city, and the other is to go back to my home country. Which would be better if the case goes against me?
