Aries Ascendant. There is a yogam in 6th house. Jupiter (9th house lord) and Saturn (10th house lord). Was there any interest in pharmaceutical chemistry or medicinal chemistry ? I mean why did you prefer polymer chemistry ?

Moon although present in dushtana 8th house is waxing. Moon is the nakshatra lord of both Jupiter and Saturn. Moon is a watery planet. So chemistry(liquids) path is good for you. Saturn career lord aspects the moon.

Ascendant lord Mars aspects the 10th house and 9th house. You are capable of a technical career.
Have you tried in the petroleum and natural gas industry?
Jupiter 9th house lord aspects the 10th house giving stability.

Unfortunately you are right now in saadhe saati. The seven year period of saturn. So just hang in there I suppose.
The Jupiter Saturn conjunction is very close(a degree) and it could cause delays.

You are Venus dasha rahu bhukti till 28 April 2018. Venus is in 5th house and in it's own nakshatra (purvaphalguni). So I would just wait. Things could improve after Jan 2017.

Have you tried for a post doc abroad ?

Dear Malavyabadava,
Thanks for this detailed analysis.
I have interest in Pharma and medicinal chemistry.
But what I got at the time of admission, I have opted for it.

I have completed Ph.D. in 2008 and then I worked in many places, kind of post doc as well as job abroad.
I may tell this break as maternity, but now I feel that my career will end here.

You can also try for an academic post as a lecturer. New colleges are getting formed so you can make an attempt to teach.
