A very general question on how one's career would be in future is often hard for someone trying to answer.
A short list of details helps immensely.
1. What is your education - for a first job, this is very important criterion
2. Date of joining the job and date of loss [if that is the case]
3. Current career situation - whether its a bad boss, company wide downsizing etc
4. Reason for seeking a change - better pay, overseas, change of field etc etc.
5. Any other detail that is relevant to the question
