In boys chart, ketu is in 4 house by mean node and 5 house true node..
I don't which one to consider. Please tell me, which one you have considered for both charts ?

Dear Satya Prakash,

Rahu is in the star of Mrigsirasa- whose star-lord is Mars, lord of 4th and 9th house , a yogakkaraka for the boy.

Ketu is in the star of Jestha --whose star-lord is Mercury, lord of 2nd and 11th. Not encouraging.

But Ketu is posited in 4th house whose lord is Mars, yogakkaraka for the lagna. Hence positive only.

In the bhave chart Ketu is in 5th bhava, but Saptamsh chart confirms that there is no difficulty for

children as the fifth house is house of Jupiter, the Puthrakaraka.


Again, check all the above with an expert astrologer of your place.

The URL referred to gives a rigorous procedure.

A simple method to use is to give 1.0 mark for all papa points from Lagna,
0.5 for all papa points from Moon
0.25 for all papa points from Venus.
(Many consider only Rahu and leave out Ketu)

It's a very interesting article.. I have done this for matching with my boyfriend's chart and he has 22.5 while I have just 6. This is 3.75 times my number. Just wondering if this would mean it's a good match or it's bad? I will give our details in case you can offer more information on the match. I understood by reading the end of the article that this method cannot be solely relied upon so I'm wondering about the rest now:

Accordingly---For Boy, inclusive of Ketu-- it is 3.5
For Girl inclusive of Ketu--It is 5

As the girl has a higher value, there is no Papa Samyam.

Just to clarify, Sun is in his 11th house with Mars as he's Virgo lagna. The daylight savings time should be taken into account which is 4 hours West of GMT.

Sorry to disappoint you. The dosha samyam calculations are correct. But the match suffers from Rajju Dosha (Eka Rajju).

One must have a good knowledge.
Amoung Nakshathra based matchings (KUTA MATCH) only Vedha and Raju are important.
PAPA SAMYA and DASA SANDHI are very very important.
A good book on this topic is the one written by Gayathri devi vasudev named "Art of Matching Charts".

As far as I know, it is good if score from 8 kutas is more than 25 (70% match). Bare minimum is 18 (50%). If Mahendra Koota is positive then there can be some compromise on this score. Many astrologers also follow the concept of Maha Nakshatra. If Mo's nakshatra is Mrigasira/Makha/Swati/Anuradha for one/both then the scores are ignored.
Rajju,vedha and EkaNakstra/Stree Purva override these considerations. I have read that Eka Rajju other than Udara Rajju can be ignored if either Mahendra Koota is positive or both Bhakoot and Rashayadhipathi match are very good.

As far as I know, Rajju dosha other than Udara Rajju can be ignored if you have full points for Bhakoot or full for (Rashaydhipathi+Tara) or if you have Mahendra Koota.

I dont know about remedies. May be others can help.
