Stammering: Why? Can I ever get cured?

I would like to inform that I have stammeing problem (since birth), though none amongst my family and relatives have this problem. Astrologically, what might be the reason for it? Can I ever get cured out of this curse? What is the chance that my child may also inherit this (if I can ever get married and be a mother)?

This is due to Gulika/Mandi in the 2nd house .
I don't know remedy for this and has never seen in any books.
It is not necessary that your child to get this problem.Chances are less.

Good to hear that. But I see both in my D1 & D9, lords of 5th houses are accompanied by Gulika. In D1, 5L Mars is accompanied by Gulika in 2H and in D9 5L Saturn is again accompanied by Gulika in 4H. Does that indicate any speech (or other) problem in my child?

Speech is a signification of planet Mercury. For your Cancer rising ascendant, second and third house are connected to speech and communication ability.
When your Mercury is placed in 12th, there will be loss for its signification.

If Mercury alone is the significator of speech, then allow me to contradict on the following points:
1. Though in 12H in D1, Mercury is in its own house Gemini.
2. In D9 too, Mercury is again in its own house Gemini in 10H; thus Vargottam.

A benefic planet in its own house in both the charts should provide benefic results. Correct me if I am missing something. Thus is Mercury alone responsible for my speech impediment?

Mercury is a signficator for speech and is placed in dusthana 12th house rules loss for natural signifcation of Mercury. Then you have to look at 2nd and 3rd houses.

Mercury is significator for speech but the natural karaka of speech is Venus (natural karaka fo 2nd house), Here your venus is combust and becomes AK. Also it debilitates in navmansha. But this venus will surely help you to improve your speech. Take speech therapy.

I am unable to support the opinion of mercury as the karaka for speech.
Stammering is attributable to tongue and 2nd house controls this.
In that case Jupiter is the Karaka for 2nd house should therefor control the tongue also.
Please see the chart:-
1. 2nd house is afflicted .
2. Jupiter being the 6th lord is in the 2nd with malefic.
3.Moon also is afflicted.
4. Presence of GULIKA aggravated the situation.
Further there can be problems for the native regarding his vision (eye) also.

Dear Dhoom,

2nd house rules speech and is badly afflicted, with two of the most innimical combinations Shani-Moon ( signifying mental confusion)....and shani-mangal, (signfying physical damage) and cojunction with gulika .

And shani is innimical in the house of sun.

Drishti of benefic Jupiter (in this case actually through conjunction in the same house)....prevents higher damage.

strong Me in his own house ensures, inspite of speech problems, you are still able to communicate well.

I dont believe you shoud be,worried about your children, they will folow their karma.

You should pray to,shni dev daily, offer til tel on his idol on saturdays.

What kind of vision (eye) problem do you foresee? I have myopia/nearsightedness (not exceeding -1.75) since 16/17 yrs and have been using contact lenses. But now I feel it is getting replaced by hyperopia/farsightedness.
Do u foresee any further serious eye problems or complications for me in near future or in old-age? If yes, when and of what nature? Any precaution that I should take?

Dear DhoomDhoom.
Vision problem I said was basically due to your SUN being in the 12th house.
( Sun is capable to bring vision defects if placed in 2nd,8th and 12th)
Moon dasa is running now and during Moon/Sat and Moon/Ketu you may require to increase the power of lens .
(Reason :- Sat is the 8th lord from 12th house and Ketu is in the 8th from 12th house ).

Regarding future problems :-
The Sun is with the 3rd lord Mercury and is bad in this context.
But Mer being in own rasi and also enjoing VRGOTHAMA is a blessing .
With gods grace I don't think you may have any serious problem with your vision.
Please try to worship SUN daily in the morning after taking bath.
