Speech delay in my son

Hi,

My son was born on 29th June 2016 at 8:40 am at Deccan Gymkhana in Pune.
He is 2.5 years old and speaks very few words and there is speech delay.
We waited for 2+ years because we often keep hearing stories of some boys
starting to speak late and develop normally afterwards but now we are very concerned.
We have recently started speech therapy. We would like to get a view on his horoscope
and any remedies which we can do for his overall development.

Lagna lord Moon is in a Gandanta in the 10th house. He is aspected by a retrograde Mars, Jupiter and Rahu. He moves to the 9th in the bhava chart.

2nd lord Sun occupies the 12th house aspected by Ketu. Sun occupies a nakshatra of Rahu. The 2nd house is occupied by the 6th and 9th lord Jupiter along with Rahu in very close conjunction. They occupy a nakshatra ruled by Venus and the combination is aspected by Saturn and Ketu.

In Navamsa, Lagna moves to rogamsa (w.r.t natal Lagna) while the Sun is in ashtamsa. The Lagna is afflicted by Saturn, Mars and Ketu. The 2nd house is afflicted by Mars while the sun is afflicted by Saturn.

Except for the very close association of Rahu and Jupiter (Guru-Chandala Yoga) no major deficiency is seen. The child will learn to speak over time. Since Ketu dasa is on till 2022, the progress may be slow. But surely, the child will be OK.

It is definitely reliving to know that there is not any major deficiency in horoscope and progress may be slow but child will be okay !

We are currently in California, US and the regular pediatric whom we consult here recommended us to begin with speech therapy and have an evaluation for ASD with a pediatric development specialist early next year.

His horoscope does not indicate his being on the autism spectrum. No remedies are needed but a shanti for Guru and Rahu will help if done with belief.

When I casted his chart, through K.P. System of astrology... I found the recorded time of birth is not accurate.
For me to see through K.P. System of astrology, I need accurate time of birth.

I was staying in Deccan Gymkhana, during my PG days at Symbi. Couple of Marathi stage drama artists from Film Institute..Mohan Agashe, Jabbar Patel , Watve etc( those days) and also late Gokhale. Most of the Deccan Gymkhana..restaurants/ Liquor Bars , film/drama personalities etc.. had excellent contacts. Still whn I sit in Roopali/ Vaishali restaurant just acknowledge me and say hello, even hold true for doctors/Lawyers.

If it second child, than I have to study from appropriate houses

I had a look at Prashna chart, number selected by the parent.

Today is Shani-vara, at my Latitude, Chandra is in Rishabham and in Mrigasirsa nk
Kuja dasa is on , in the Prashna chart. Kuja is one of the planet to be vetted for ASD

Sppech issue... As described by me scientifically and astrologically, how one assesses the speech issue in neonates/toddlers ( refer any post in the forum for Autistic cases, you may read)… primary evaluation is Rishabham cusp, Gemini, Vrischika and 3rd cusp from lagna sputa cusp


son's Rishabham cusp falls is 6th cusp... which is a cusp assessment for Karma/ debts/ Disease/ enemies etc

son's 12th cusp is Vrischika, again assessment for health/ defect in the body

son's 3rd cusp falls in Kumbha and longitudinal analysis connected to Budha… a karaka for speech

Period running in Prashna chart is Kuja dasa - Guru bhukti- Shani antara

His 3rd cusp lord in 12th... There is issue with communication/ speech and Budha connected to 12th ( karaka for speech)

Relation between 3rd cusp sub and 12th cusp/5th lord is very adverse

There is certain degree of ASD seen, Kuja is telling in Prashna chart, looks not that violent behavior, perhaps a state of agitation.


He will speak fluently for sure... that will happen by 4th quarter 2021.

( I would appreciate, you guys teach him or you guys speak to him Marathi ( offshoot from Sanskrit), also good for his tongue and Brain, along with English.)


His Primary Education completion shouldn't be any tussle or delays problem etc... he will be interested in Mathematics/ Finance/ Law.... during his course of PG completion.

First of all thank you very much for the detailed analysis.

We did notice speech delay and son is also showing some symptoms that are generally associated with ASD. We are concerned and wanted to evaluate both astrologically and medically.

You mention that there is certain degree of ASD but not that violent behavior so any views on the perceived level of severity? I have read some remedies which you have suggested in this forum. Can we also follow them or can you please suggest us some remedies?

We will definitely speak and teach him Marathi.

Finally both your and TKC's view that there would be delays but he will lead a normal life is definitely relieving and we are grateful for helping parents like us !

As I said through Prashna… Mars or Kuja dasa on.. behavior pattern will exist atleast for another 5 years.


I would encourage you guys... Father's family deity God need to be appeased( whenever in India, make a point to visit the temple and take darshan and do Puja on son's Janma nakshatra day.

Lord Murugan temple is in CA. Just check, do they accept services applying Sandal paste as Kavach on Lord Murugan's idol you need to pay for that offerings. Priest will recite mantras pertaining during that offerings.. you need to inform.. Son's name, Janma nakshtra, Gothra.

Son's mother or Father can keep fast on behalf of son, on every Tuesdays for 6 weeks ( 1 mandala... 48 days). The fasting is towards Lord Subramanya . Maharashtrians have surname Vaidya ( nothing but Vaidyanathan.. Lord Murugan..healer or cures sickness). Don't eat anything till sunset from Sunrise on Tuesdays ( no liquor/ no non-veg on Tuesdays), Tea/Coffee etc o.k. Dinner you guys can have after the fast

Assuming the birth-details are accurate. Below notes are relevant for your query. You might want to consider:
1. The child is born with 12th lord Moon/Chandra posited in the Lunar Constellation of Purva-Phalguni Nakshatra, ruled by Venus/Shukra. As per Vimsottari Dasha system. He is currently in the midst of Venus/Shukra Maha-Dasha and Mercury/Budha Antara. Maha-Dasha lord Venus/Shukra is posited in the Lunar Constellation of Ardra Nakshatra, ruled by Rahu (placed in the 12th house of Vyaya/Losses/Hospitalization etc.) and hence activating him. More importantly, Venus/Shukra is placed close to Mrityu Bhaga and within the fatal Trimsamsa degrees.
2. Apart from Moon/Chandra, Udaya Lagna, Buddhi-Karaka Mercury/Budha (represents intellect, nervous system, communication etc.) and Rogakaraka Saturn/Shani-dev are all posited in the the Lunar Constellations ruled by Venus/Shukra, thereby activating them.
3. Lagna Lord and Naisargika Aagrogya-Karaka or natural signifier of health Sun/Ravi has very high Shadbala. But then, he is also placed close to Mrityu Bhaga and within the fatal Trimsamsa degrees
4. Vak-Karaka Jupiter/Guru the 5th lord of Purva-Punya and 8th lord of Randra-Sthana is Vakra or Retrograde. He is not really happy or comfortable being placed in the 3rd house of Courage/Proactive Initiatives/Communication. He will be detrimental for related significance. The Lagna lord of your child’s chart and also the arogyakaraka is strongly placed in the 10th house. The lagna itself is occupied by Moon (12th lord and bhava madhya lord of the 6th house of roga) and aspected by Mars from the 6th house. In Navamsa too, Lagna is afflicted. The 2nd house of speech is aspected by Saturn and Ketu both of whom are associated with the rogasthana. The 2nd lord Mercury is also aspected by Mars and Jupiter(5th and 8th lord). In Navamsa, the 2nd lord is in the 6th while Rahu occupies the 2nd house.

Dasa lord Venus is in rogamsa in Navamsa. Thus, at present all planet associated with roga are active.

The 1st and 2nd houses are afflicted in Drekkana, Dwadasamsa and Trimsamsa too.

In the current Venus dasa, there may not be much improvement. Some improvement can be expected in the dasa of Sun starting March 2024. Meanwhile audio recording of Vishnu Sahasranama and Ruram Chamakam can be played daily so that the sounds fall on the child’s ears. This will help.

Given birth-details place Udaya Lagna or Ascendent in the Zodiac sign of Libra or Tula Rashi. Lagna Lord Venus/Shukra is placed in the 4th house in the Zodiac sign of Capricorn or Makara Rashi is good. But then, he is surrounded by Ketu and low-profile miscreants Maandi & Gulika is perhaps a sign of some weakness.

Moon/Chandra is the 10th lord. He is placed in Badhaka-Sthana and has very little support on either side of the flanks, making child's mind/thoughts wander. She probably has limited focus. Moon/Chandra is posited in the Lunar Constellation of Purva-Phalguni Nakshatra, ruled by Venus/Shukra. So, the child started her life in Venus/Shukra Maha-Dasha (as per Vimsottari Dasha system. Subsequent Maha-Dasha is that of Moon/Chandra (starting from second half of 2025).

For the records, Mars/Kuja and Rahu are neither happy nor comfortably placed and will be detrimental for related significance. Upcoming adverse transits of Saturn/Shani-dev also need to factored in.

Apart from what has been called in the previous post, Mars/Kuja, Jupiter/Guru-dev, Venus/Shukra, Rahu-Ketu and Gulika are all placed in Sandhi/Cusp or very close to the boundaries of two Zodiac signs or Rashis - not mention the mutual aspect of Moon/Chandra and Mercury/Budha. They are not very good signs.
