Clarification about upapada

As it is said that malefic in upapada is not considered good for marriage...what if the planet is in its own house. .. for example. .Saturn in Aquarius as upapada for Capricorn ascendant person ..with no other aspects or conjunctions..

Also ..I have read that for aquarius UL both Saturn and rahu need to be considered.as per another rule, if a planet (from these two) is in its own sign then another is taken as UL. .
Can anyone tell me whether I should take Aquarius as my UL or leo ( since rahu is in 11th house.counting 10 houses away from Aquarius is leo).
Note- I m Capricorn asc with Saturn in Aquarius and sun in leo)

As per the given info your 12th Lord is Jupiter & you have to consider Jupiter's placement not Saturn's placement.
Let's say for example Jupiter is in Virgo i.e., in 9th then your UL will be in Pisces. For AL is considered AL is Pisces because as you said Rahu in 11th so debilitated. So, Saturn is strong. So, AL is in Pisces.
