dear Experts,
I read that Atmkaraka dasa(AK) is painful as soul is trying to clean itself.
I want to know:
1. Is above statement valid?
2. If yes, is it about Vimsottari dasa or Jamini char dasa?
3. if 1 is valid please suggest remedies.

This is a to general statement and can't be correct all the times.
Before considering it as truth plz check the antar dasha & prayantar dasha of the planet which is ur AK.
You must have been gone thru these dashas to a min of 8-10 times so far. Plz evaluate those periods & them decide for yourself.
When we talk of AK, generally we are considering Jamini system.
