Let me clarify you that mercury has a natural tendency to keep close to sun.
My own mercury is combust.
Jupiter cannot always act as functional malefic as its aspects keep the natural karakatwa too.
You may concentrate on your studies as half knowledge of astrology may cause unnecessary pessimism.

I totally agree with Revribhav, Half knowledge of Astrology is very bad.
Mer is always with Sun so practically it shd be taken combust only when it is within 3 deg of Sun.
In ur chart, there is distance of 10 deg, so be assured of, you'll get whatever you're destined for.
