Coming forum improvements - new moderator team to be started

The forum administration is working on several improvements of to the forum. The forum software will be ugraded to version 3, which will bring new security features, as well as many other improvements and new flexibilty.

Together with the version upgrade, we are planning some important changes to improve the quality of the forum. First of all, we are looking for solutions to dedicate the student section only to jyotish students. The discussion board will remain open to all, like it is now. Registration is required to be able to post to the forum. After the changes, new users can post only to the readings seciton & new general jyotish discussion section.

Student section will be reserved for jyotish students only. Those willing to post here must apply for a membership.

A new moderator team will be established.
If you wish to contribute and become a moderator, please send me a PM where you introduce yourself. To qualify as a moderator, you should have the following:
- Interest in doing seva (service) for the Light On Vedic Astrology community
- Have at least half an year of experience on this forum
- Have sent quality postings to the to the forum & participated discussions
- Good command of english language, spelling & grammar
- Willing to act as a moderator.
Moderator responsibilities:
- Follow the forum discussions during your visits to the forum
- Observing that the forum members are following the rules
- Moving wrongly placed topics to right categories
- Participate in writing board rules
- Guiding the users to use good and civilized language, and asking them to correct their postings in case of inappropriate content
- Move postings containing inappropriate or illegal content to the moderator section and banning such user
- Notify board administrators of possible frauds & misuse
