Dear Basab,

If u think that Astroboy is egoistic..You should examine what u r all about...

He s like that in his real and day to day life also... I am witness to that...And i went there to test him that whether he just says on the forum or does he really do the things as he says... And what i found out on was that "he does wat he say... he actually lives by what he believes in...

Astroboy was writing nicely on upachaya houses... And u came and ended up making this thread a mess...

And remember u asked astroboy to analyse ur horoscope... He didnt come to U

SEE I AGREE TO ONE POINT WHEN U ASK SOMEONE TO ANALYSE UR HOROSCOPE THEN"PLEASE HAVE THE GUTS TO DIGEST WAT HE SAYS"...

WE WANT TO LEARN FROM THIS FORUM....WE DONT WANT TO SEE 2 PERSONAL EGO S CLASHING....

Kunal

Okay, I will leave this discussion board, Kunal. I was at fault and I am leaving it. Hope you and astroboy and milredr and everyone else here will be happy now. Why didn't you tell me earlier to leave this website, I would have left then and there. Anyway, better late than never.

Kunal,

I am not angry. When everyone points your finger at someone, then the person has to accept it that he has made some mistake. I have been the cause of much irritation, arguments, here in the last few months, and I have spoiled the thread of Astroboy as I can understand. I will not call that destiny, but my own fault. I think I should not stay here anymore. I am being more of a botheration than of help to anyone. And when one realizes that, he realize the meaninglessness of being here.

I will not deny that I am feeling a bit sad that I decided to leave this discussion board. It’s been 4 years here. I joined it in the first week of Nov 2006, and it is Oct 2010 now. How time flies. It feels like I had joined this discussion board just a few days back. I met so many people here, shared so much about my life and heard so much about their lives and learned so much in astrology and discussed so many charts.

Thanks to everyone for bearing with my nonsense for so long. Today I think it got too much for you all to bear, but then, I understand. I know I was at fault. I shouldn’t have poked my nose in someone else’s thread. I am really very sorry about that.

And Astroboy, maybe we never became friends, but I think very highly about you. Maybe we don’t have the same beliefs, but I really admire your courage and your determination and your strength of character. I also had a difficult childhood like you, but the difference is, you fought back and turned out a winner and even though I fought back too, I lost. Maybe because my Mars is in the 12th house and is not strong like yours that I couldn't fight back that well, and thus, lost.

You all take care,

Basab

“And Moksha cannot be gained by being a Chief minister of a state OR being the no 1 millionaire of the world.”
Why ministers and millionaires are barred from getting Moksha or God’s grace? Both are mutually exclusive. One can be a millionaire and get Moksha too. Even God Himself takes birth as a King, rich and powerful.

Maheshji both of us know what I meant here. So, I will not elaborate on this point more.

-------------------------------
I am nowhere to demean Lord Sri Hari Or any body. But it is only the fine observation. Interpretation depends on experience. I am not sure why every time evil and good exist simultaneously and evil moves up easily than good. It could be a fundamental bug in the principle by which the world is run.
If it is true, It is high-time that bug is rectified by the almighty. Otherwise, the observation misleads many people, provocates and encourages to do more evil. For which the persons should not be responsible or accountable.
The judgement still exists but as per yuga dharma. For that discussions like ours are futile. One needs to dwelve deep into Brahma Sutras and Upanishads. What you and me think is immaterial because the universe will still be run as per what has been defined already. It's just that with our feeble intelligence, we are not able to grasp the gross part of the plan.

---------------------
Of course those people are great people. Everybody has good and bad. What I have mentioned only their positive aspect. They have showed how a person can reach heights by self-confidence, persistence and efforts. It is a great achievement. Now, if you say they have reached that state without blessing of God, it is further great. It is because of them, the world has seen Sri Rama or Lord Narasimha. If not because their greatness, Lord Sri Hari could not have taken births for common men like us.

Infact its the reverse Maheshji, it is because of Lord Narasimha and Sri Rama that these people took birth. Both are Shri Vishnu Rupas and Shri Vishnu is aprakrut as I mentioned earlier. There cannot be a difference between different poorna rupas of Shri Vishnu. The strength part in them is also because of daiva amshas in them at times. Ravana was a Rakshasa but a brahmin too. He had Vedadhikar and Lord did not disallow him to pursue. Hiranyakashipu had a boon of Brahmaji on his penance. How can the penance go unwarranted ? Lord is not impartial. Fruits are awarded as per the actions.

At the same time, these people misused their powers in Aquiring more Asuri Shaktis. They were basically Vishnu Dweshi. Vishnu Dweshi do not find any place to hide in the universe. The dwesha itself drags them to culmination.

So, it is fallacy to think that those two aquired powers without the will of God. Remember, Almighty if he can give something, he can take it too. Everything that we have today is his and not ours. It has to go back to him while in life or after death.

Sometimes it appears the Indian philosophy of karma (pre-decided destiny) and Vedanta is a curse on the nation. It makes a person lazy, cynical and ultimately depressed? It depletes confidence and motivation in a person. Is this the reason why India
has become soft and lagging behind?
Where is India lagging behind ? In terms of cow slaughter as compared to west/middle east OR the invention of bit codes that our Rishis invented ages back in terms of meter and Chanda in the stotras ?

OR Are you talking about Smart boy Charles darwins theory of evolution which states we rose from Apes ? Because Vedanga describes Sri Rama and Sri Krishna features very clearly to those of humans.

Are you talking about Brahma Astras that is locked for Kaliyuga that is equivalent to Nuclears in current times ? OR the Mercury fed Vaimanas that existed much before the gliders were discovered by someone ?

I earn great respect in India and foreign countries when I work. UK US and everywhere, Indian intelligence and hard work is in great demand. Clients give glowing references for my work, when I travel across companies. Am I not Indian ? I am sure there must be some case like that with you too.

Albert Einstein openly mentioned that without Indias contribution the world would not have been this forward.

We are so moving forward that US and UK economies are afraid of our workforce. Where is all this intelligence coming from ? IT is our lineage sir.

So, where are we lagging behind is my question ? Bharatvarsha is the Karma bhoomi of this universe. Moksha is granted ONLY from here. Not in the countries of mletchas and yavans. Every soul has to take birth here to get Moksha.

I am sure everyone would agree when I say Astroboy, Astrosonu, Ramanan, Revirbhav and few others have been posting very useful informations and giving wonderful astrological advices.
Astroboy is too frank and openly gives his impressions on the horoscope without any inhibition. He also gives excellent advices and writes nice articles on various topics. I am sure not only his advice but also that of the above named astrologers or experts have benefited one and all. So I am sure such services would be continued by all the above for the benefit of all others reading articles in this forum.
Further many have openly benefited by these posts and so I am sure such posts will continue.

So that means one can create good karma's in ones lifetime…

Agree completely. You are a clever person. I thought I had figured it out. You have done it too. :) . Thanks for the encouragement. God bless.

Hi Mahesh:
Rightly said. I typed a long message but it got lost.

Many of the things like following the dress code of westerners, following Valentine ’s Day, involving in cow slaughter all these seem to be just simply following the west. Even the 5 day week for eg is suitable for them since the boys meet their girl friends and vice versa on Fridays. So they need 2 days leave. It is not so here though now it is changing. So in reality we don’t need a 5 day week. In fact some families have both husband and wife working when they find it difficult to send their children to school on their own. This would change if we had 6 day week since the office would start atleast an hour later then which would give them more free time. As you say, several of our people like to surrender to foreigners and are repulsive to their own people. We have to be friendly to foreigners too but it does not mean we need to surrender to them and dislike our own people. I met an Indian in England and tried to talk to him at a conference. I said, it seems u are from India. He said, he would like to call himself a British since he has no connections with India and doesn’t like India too. I asked him how you could forget your ancestors who were Indians. He said no he had nothing to do with India and just left. His face however was that of a typical Indian. So one should have respect for oneself , one’s parents and for one’s country. Without that how can he respect others and other countries?

Of course India is lagging. Keeping material front aside, people lost self-respect. See people with confusion minds (spiritualism or materialism? cannot decide which is correct) ultimately landed in corruption, sycophancy, slavery mentality. If a foreigner wears a nicker, our people do. If they say ‘Oh.Yaa’ our people follow same style. What a silly behaviour!! If a white man comes, people follow him like God. Where has originality gone? Our people celebrate the so called Valentines day without knowing who is Valentine or what is relevant to India, our society or culture? How many foreigners even know what is Raksha Bandhan Or Guru Poornima? They do business with us but do not care for our culture or wear our lungi or dhoti (they are right in their actions). I wonder how even some of our people like Yogananda feel elated by standing near foreigners and take photographs. That does not mean one should develop hatedredness to others. Many of the foreigners are indeed superlative. One can meet, learn knowledge and correct oneself, but not forgetting the respective roots and culture. How did people forgot Geeta “Swadharmo Nidhanam Sreyaha, Paradharmo Bhayavahaha” (which inherently may have another meaning too at the level of individual isolated Soul) And then religious bias, pseudo-secular (you understand what I mean) , our leaders have no inhibitions to insult Sri Rama Or Sri Krishna (and Radha) publicly. They can say where is the proof for birth place or even existence of Sri Rama but have no guts to say single word about other(s). And many more.. issues ...landed up in all kinds of chaos.
Maheshji these are just lifestyles that you are talking about and also the materialistic part. The west is completely lagging behind in the spiritual journey. The racism, the sycophants etc are indeed more in the west. Our bhoomi is very secular and great. The growth of india cannot be measured by how well we follow or not follow west. I have given enough hints in my last post to emphasise my points. We are the most forward spiritual and religious group with amazing powers of the yogis. These yogis do not get press conferences to publicize themselves so it never comes to the forefront except in their sampradaya.

It is fallacy to think that we are lagging behind just because of these petty wearing styles and working times. We are repository of 4 Vedas, 18 puranas and Umpteen Upanishads and Brahma Sutras which are sanatan dharma and nobody can take the knowledge away from us. The lineage is extra ordinary. Just because due to yuga dharma a certain set of adharma prevails does not mean it is going to rule for ever. And that too these pseudo secular thoughts etc you talk about are a handful of people hell bent of achieving their personal goals. They cannot represent masses. I am sorry I disagree with you completely.

What is the use say my fore-fathers had invented Pushapk Viman or a medicine. Where are we now? Every object we use in daily life is invented by others. Except few people like Sir Raman, every technocrat is simply a follower.
Maheshji - I think the keyword is "Re-invented" and not invented as you have mentioned. That sums up that non-indians are just kids trying to learn to invent, what we already have in your lineage through VEDAS. :)

"The point is, bliss in the Karma can only be obtained via Shri Hari's grace. It is fallacy to think that I am doing something. With steadfast hari preeti, Lord keeps erasing purva karma deficits and new births become pure and pious with diminishing sins.

Materialistically thinking, within the perimeters of our small brain, what else could have resurrected me from such a hopeless situation in life. Today I have a happy married life, a pious spouse and two lovely little angels gracing the house of Shri Hari provided to me to dwell in."

I am sorry to note the difficulties you have undergone in life. Sometimes, people turn to spirituality or right-path after facing many difficulties. May be that is how you are destined too. One never know the God’s way of working, different for different individuals. Ultimately, you are fortunate to get the grace of Lord Sri Maha Vishu, whom I guess is the ultimate of the universe. I am amazed with your knowledge and understanding of the spiritual path. May His blessings will always be there for you. There is no instrument better than Sri Rama Nama which works in life. See the face of Lord Sri Venkateswara at Tirupati, so much glory and charmingness!!. No wonder, why people say it is Kaliyuga Vaikhunta. Yet, even for materialistic events, He is very sharp in reacting. Both for evil people (punshing) and good people (rescuing).
Thank you for the kind words Maheshji. My spirituality has been there since the day i was born. I just lost path midway during Jup MD. But what is there in lineage, where will it go. So, it came back to me. My Grandmother is a great great shri Krishna devotee. I feel that I have earned all these credits just because of her aura and grace that she exhibits due to steadfast faith in Shri Krishna.

Regarding questions.
My question is still active:

In the beginning everything is vacuum.
Starting from it, how a human Soul (like you or me or any one) takes birth in the first cycle?
Form where it came? What do our scriptures say about this?

Maheshji this is a long topic and we discussed before also where I mentioned that first chapter of Bhagavatham will reveal everything and answer all questions for you. also you can pick up any purana and all of them have chapters dedicated to creation, pralaya and Mahapralaya. The discussion is beyond the scope of this thread. If there are any specifics lets discuss on reading the topics in Bhagvatham and Puranas.

Secondly, if a person keeps strict control of His Indrias (self-control) with self-awareness, can the planets and destiny supecede him?

Yes sir very much, this was the precise point when I wrote the answer to this query in my previous post. Shri Hari preeti alone will ensure this. Without it, you can do umpteen hours of yoga and years of mantra japa, nothing would come out of it.

-----------------
I found human life has two paths, like western and harbour railway lines. But ultimately both lines may take to same final stop.

The first one is material line. This is very competitive. One has to be shrewd, cunning, strategic and go to any extent like shedding self-respect, pull the leg of others etc. One should not mind much about Dharma/Adharma. One has to make comparisons with others, if not for dominance, at least for protection from other compotators. Should also develop strong self-confidence at the expense of God-confidence (both are complementary). In this line, I guess God shows least interest. Perhaps, He might have devised a technique called law of karma to take care of such people albeit with a time lag between action and reaction. Though successful people in this line often say, God is kind to me etc. I guess that God helps only more inside (mentally) by giving courage and knowledge (that too only if one chants His name during the endowers) than giving material help. Most part of the success is accounted to the work only. For such people, I find a God-father works better than God. Like for a person in political line, one has to follow a big politician, in business line, a big tycoon or in academic line, a big expert professor, Nobel laurite level guide. But even people who follow this line can get Moksha at the end after fully achieving their desires. We see even people like Ravana went to havens (due to death in the hands of Sri Vishnu) ultimately, after enjoying life, albeit by wrong methods. They are not atheists. They too are devotees but not of a God of satwik nature. They approach only Brahma or Siva but not Vishnu (who, I have feel that Satwik in nature, does not give boons).

The other line is spiritual line. People who cannot cope up with the competition, who is worried about Dharma/Adharma, not willing to pull down others (if required) or has inhibitions to compromise with self-respect (atma-abhiman), this line is better. One has to be isolated with the competitive world around (like maharshis or some of the modern day scientists like Einstein or Edison, Raman etc.). One may succeed by this route too, but once in a while. Sometimes, it makes cynical, incompetent. There is neither free-will or destiny in this route. Believe that everything is His will. Just chant the name of Sri Rama and ‘feel’ that everything is Him only and keep working, be happy with whatever one gets, But, one should not make comparisons with others. But one has to keep an eye around just to know where you are or to get protection from some jealous people around or from people who, feel you are a competitor to them and coming in their way. I am sure God gives strength and joy to such people. I guess that people like Bhakta Ramadas, Tyagaraja, Tulsi Das are not just innocent saints. Rather, they are too clever to know that if you leave it to Sri Rama, He does everything. One need not bother about out-side world or competition or tensions.

People who want to live on both lines, it is not possible, rather waste of time and reach nowhere. Like one cannot keep one leg in one boat, other leg in another boat and cross a river. Or cannot travel both western or harbour line trains simultaneously, but there may be an option to switch-over to other line after travelling some stations and change the route, may be.
Maheshji - I will write a seperate post on this. I am actually short of time to reply on this. But I like this question very much and I have some answers that I seeked from my Guruji. I shall endeavour to reply to the best of my abiility. Please give me some time.

Regards
Sonu

Sirji - There is only one Sanatan Dharma. Needless to take the name. All others emanated afterwards and have a beginning and the end. Vedic Dharma is beginingless and endless. That's why Rishis mention even in astrological dictums that going abroad is actually a curse. Why do we see 4th house afflicted for abroad related journeys ? There is no other place as sacred as BharatVarsha. Ayodhya, Gangotri, Kailash Dhaam, MaanSarovar, Haridwar, Hrishikesh, Pushkar... There are n number of opportunities for a soul to get upliftment in Spiritual journey, to sanctify the soul, to get closer to the almighty. If west was so good and forward, Why Did the 12 Shiva lingas not get established in one of those forward countries ? OR Why did Sri Vishnu decide to take birth in Ayodhya as Sri Rama and not New York or London. ?

When the owner of this Brahmanda chooses Bharatvarsha to take birth and rule over the entire earth (Remember Sri Rama was Chakravarthy King ruling entire earth), are'nt we foolish to disown it and compare it to the west ? It's actually a pity that some of these masses follow just herd mentality and move in a direction as would their ring leader ( another moron) do.

We on this forum are fortunate to be exchanging these views with each other and establishing our faith in our dharma day in and day out. Let's continue to do this till the MukhyaPrana permits.

How you can justify an act is a free will or destiny.
If you can not ignore an insult laugh at it, if you can not laugh at it you probably deserved it.

Hello Basab and Astroboy,

I should have participated eariler, but better late than never...

I completely agree with Astroboy that Free will and destiny both co-exist.. Destiny may work to a gud extent but free will has its share too..

SUPPOSE DESTINY WAS PREDESTINED, THEN WHY DO WE GET THE RESULTS OF THE PAST KARMAS IN OUR PRESENT LIFE ? THE ONLY ANSWER TO THIS IS THAT FREE WILL EXISTS TOO OR WE CAN SAY FREE WILL EXISTED IN OUR PAST LIFE WHICH MADE US DO CERTAIN KARMAS WHOSE RESULTS WE ARE GETTING IN THE PRESENT LIFE... SO ACCORDING TO THAT, FREE WILL SHOULD EXIST IN THIS LIFE TOO !!

THE GOOD OR BAD RESULTS IN AREAS OF LIFE WE ARE GETTING TODAY ARE DUE TO THE GOOD OR BAD DEEDS DONE IN PAST LIFE RESPECTIVELY ...

Lets take a case of bad karmas..
Suppose a person say ABC ,kills people randomly for money ..

If destiny was predestined, then he was born to kill people for money ... The people who were killed by ABC, did some bad karmas in past life , so they were looted and killed. Now ,should ABC be punished in next life for looting and killing people(HIS BAD KARMA) ? Why should he be punished? He looted and killed those people who did bad karmas in their past life.. Was his destiny predestined to kill people for money in order to punish them for their bad karmas? Could he just kill people by saying that his destiny is already written and it was to kill people and rob them because they did some bad karmas in past life?

According to me, that doesnt make any sense at all..Here is an area where free will comes into play where a person chooses a bad way of earning money by robbing and killing people . So by some means or the others he gets punished in his next life. ..Similar is the case of Good Karmas where in the present life, a person would reap the benefits of good deeds done in his past life by HIS FREE WILL.

There is always a room for free will where a person does certain things by his own thinking ...Definitely the planets in his chart influence his thinking a lot, they could make him do right or wrong things at some time, but PLANETS CANNOT MAKE HIM DO RIGHT OR WRONG THINGS ALL THE TIME... Likewise, ABC may have robbed and killed one person due to the fact that certain planets/combinations made him do this and it was destiny, but when he does it again and again, then its free will here and definitely not destiny.

WHAT I FEEL IS THAT, DESTINY IS CAPABLE OF TRIGGERING AN EVENT BUT FREE WILL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME !!!

Maheshji,

This entire earth has been there since inception. The regions have been there in a different clan, which in mordern world came to be known as England, greece, etc etc.. We all come from Kashyap Gotra irrespective of being Rakshasas or better. The only reason rakshasas were born were because of copulation early on during day time, which is not suitable for progeny. This clan spread across in equal caliber as both the entities were from the same origin. But the inherent qualities were different because of the copulation time. And hence, due to their inherent qualities Rakshasas grew their clan over a period of time and by their intrinsic nature became evil. Whereas, their counterparts were involved in bhakti of the Lord and vedic way of life.

We have discussed earlier also about how and why Invasions happened. And to come to the point, that we have lost the scriptures. I would say no. We have not lost it, Knowledge can never ever be lost. There are still deva amshas taking birth in appropriate sampradayas carrying forward the tradition of Knowledge of Vedas. We were and also ARE the spiritually rich nation EVEN TODAY.

pheeww...what a thread !! :)

Astroboy, I rushed to chandigarh paying for expensive flight ticket only to find that my friends dad was sick for his own fault. He was diagnosed with sever UTI in london itself but has refused to take the advised medicines and almost dint eat anything from last 3 days. What was he expecting ??....obviously we put him at PGI chandigarh....hes okay now since he has started eating and taking proper medicine. I smiled when I read this thread....."Free - will" ....:)

Basab, My father once threw me out of the house because I couldnt clear the engineering test. I went to a relatives places...stayed there for almost a year...in extremely bad condition. I couldnt understand it that time....because my father loved me the most in the world. To give you the before picture ...I started drinking when I was 12 ....bunked school and go to movies... had all rowdy friends...and what not. My father kept warning me and one fine day he asked me to leave. That one year I studied hard and finally topped the engineering test next year...I still remember tears in my fathers eyes when my name was announced first at the counseling...I was the first one to pick any engineering college anywhere in India. I studied in REC and still reap the benefits. You wont believe how much I thank him every day...if he hadnt thrown me out... I was already finished. But then I wanted to prove that I m worth and I did it !!

I m not backing anyone here but just adding to what Astroboy has said....quoting my own example...When I went to US my spoken English was horrible....this one day I walk to a girl at the bar....you wont believe the way she humiliated me right there specially quoting my communication problem. Next full year I watched all the TV shows /watched all hollywood movies / listened to news during my drive to office....and made sure that I still approach women and let them humiliate me ...if at all !! If you believe this...there was this HOT french consultant who came for a month to work with us. There was a get together with the finance team and IT team....I was reporting to IT head at that time. Suddenly there was a discussion about her which cascaded into a bet between finance and IT head about who will date her first...someone from IT or finance. Obviously my boss proposed my name ....but this guy from finance was a 6' 2" muscular brazilian guy. I will be the last one to blow my trumpet..... but the next wknd the Finance guys paid for grand party....and I walked home with a bottle of 'blue label johnnie walker' !! Obviously it was all fun with no intention to hurt anyone...shes still my very good friend...has invited me to Paris a million times !! :)

I have had major disappointments in last 2 years....Astroboys Guruji told me on my face that my lagna / saturn / ketu in Ardra nakshatra...I m destined to cry all my life !! I know I will....but as Astroboy says...'I will smell every rose and flower on the way...'

If all this back n forth discussion could change your thoughts on free-will....everyone here will be very happy for you !!

Wish you the best my friend !!

With ur words here, i remember a poem which we had in hindi in class 3 or 4.. In it, there was a bird whose nest was destroyed again and again by someone or the other. The bird never lost confidence and hope and It kept building the nest each time it was destroyed and never lost hope finally emerging as a winner..

thanks, u made my day today...
