It's been proved time and again that Lahiri Ayanamsha is the way to go. You are welcome to try other ayanamasha's on your own chart, But it has to work with the other charts too.
Lets stick to Lahiri for the time being. You wondered why your Mars-Jup dasha brought out very bad results (mental tensions, worries etc due to psychological problems) back in Apr - May 1987.
Both the planets are in debiliatation in the Navamsha. Kuja is the 6th lord in the 12th. Guru is in Satabisha Nakshatra ruled by Rahu. Rahu is debilitated in the 6th house. In the Navamsha Guru is placed in the 8th house from the lagna of the D1. What can you expect ? Guru is a enemy of the lagna lord, so will not give any good results. Lord Shani was transiting your 6th house and aspecting Natal Kuja. Lord Saturn is your 8th lord.

See the D7 chart. Rahu is in the lagna. Kuja is with the 5th lord. This is why Rahu /Kuja Gave you a child. Please dont go to play with the Ayanamsha. It will mess up your head.
