Lord Krishna Sweared Himself that He was always a Naishitika Brahmachari and always a Satya ( Truth) speaker. We will be surprised on Lord Krishna's above words, we will not be surprised, if Lord Rama says He always speaks Truth and He always was a Eka-Patni ( one wife) holder.
In-order to understand, need to revisit Mahabaratham, last day battle. Kauravas been killed by Pandavas, Kauravas dearest friend, Ashwattama, heard that his Kauravas been killed, on that night he visited Pandavas staying place during that battle, 5 persons were sleeping along with other two, He severed their heads, to avenge his friends death and retured back.
Later, Aswattama came to know that Pandavas are alive, he killed 5persons were upa-Pandavas,Pratyumban and Panchalan. Aswattama picked up a Kusha grass as an arrow, with BrahmaAstra mantra, sent that Kusha to kill Pandavas. Arjun came to know that BrahmaAstra approaching, he sent his BrahmaAstra to counter that BrahmaAstra.
VedaVyasar came to know about two BrahmaAstras been sent, he requested Arjun and Aswattama to recall back their Astras, as both can destroy the universe. Arjuna obeyed and chanted mantras to recall back BrahmaAstra which he had sent. Aswattama knows only to sent Brahma Astra with chanting of mantras but he was not taught by his father to recall BrahmaAstra.
Aswattama's BrahmaAstra was approaching Pandavas place, Aswattama, has to obey VedaVyasar's words, he told VedaVyasar he cannot recall back but he will direct that Astra to Uttirai's foetus( Uttirai, wife of Arjun was full pregnant), Lord Krishna protected Uttirai's foetus with Sudarshan Chakra on the incoming BrahmaAstra to kill the foetus inside Uttirai's womb. BrahmaAstra attacked Uttira's womb, Uttirai delivered a baby which was attacked by Aswattama's BrahmaAstra, as a dead-born baby. Uttirai ran towards Lord Krishna, and Cried and was saying you are here and still my baby born as dead, what is the use.
Lord Krishna than TOLD THE WORLD, that He always speaks and swears always speaks Truth and Daily practices Naishtika Brahmacharihood, if that is so, these will give life to your baby, upon saying, Lord Krishna with His Toe rubbed all over the body of the dead child. The baby got life upon Lord Krishna's touch after this Parikisha, baby was called as Parakisht Maharaja.
When Sage Narada was discussing the above events with His father, Lord Brahma, Lord Brahma acknowledged the same. Sage Narada was surprised thinking he is the owner of title Naishtika Brahmachari. Sage Nardar asked this doubt of Lord Krishna with His father, Lord Brahma told the Sage, please go to Nitya Upavasi( daily fasting) Durvasar Sage and get your doubts cleared. Narada Rishi again got surprised, Lord Shiva's amsa, Sage Dhurvasar, if food not served to sage, Durvasar Sage will hand over the Curse to anyone, how Sage Durvasar can be a Nitya Upavasi. Lord Brahma said, on Durvasar's nitya upavasi doubt, go to Lord Vishnu and get clarified.
Sage Narda approached Durvasa Rishi and enquired about Lord Krishna's Naishitika Brahmachari title. Durvasar started saying, during Rama-avataram,When Lord Rama was in vana-vasam ( Forest stayed), when He was passing through forest with Bow and Arrows on His shoulder, many Rishis in Forest looked at naked Shoulder of Lord Ram, and they thought ( Rishis) atleast in one of their Lives, will they get an opportunity to touch Lord Rama's shoulder and get the feeling of His shoulder.. In next avatar, Lord Krishna, Gopis of 15000 numbers, had opportunity to touch their Lord and got the gift of touching Lord's shoulder and His feet as a true devotees . Lord Krishna was certainly a Naishtika Brahmachari, Durvasar said. Sage Narada agreed.
He left for Lord Vishnu's abode and enquired about Sage Durvasar's nitya upavasi tile, on the contrary Durvasar Rishi was not. Lord Vishnu said, in typical Lord Krishna's style, today Durvasar has eaten lot, I am getting stomache. Sage Narada got bewildered, Sage Durvasar eaten more today, how you are getting stomach-ache. Lord Vishnu says, Narada, Sage Durvasar is the only person before eating anything, says Sarvam Krishnaparmastu( everything is for Krishna), therefore whenever Durvasar Rishi eats, everything comes to me, therefore Durvasar sage is Nitya-Upavasi.

Lord Krishna cursed Chiranjeevi Aswattama that He will roam around in forest in entire kaliyuaga with bleeding fissures, after Lord Krishna removed the Gem from Aswattama's forehead, ( Aswattama's father Dhronacharya after paying lots of mediatation towards Lord Siva for a child, who should be powerful and Chiranjeevi, even thirst, hunger will not hamper him, so even without food and water, Aswattama can live infinite years)
Lakhipur is in U.P, in one of the Lord Siva's temple, every year regularly Chiranjeevi Aswattama comes here and performs Lord's Abhisekam. This was disclosed by the Pujari of that temple to a a large Media and TV channel. TV channel wants to document and prove the same, they kept Video cameras installed inside the sanctum and a whit cloth was covered on Lord Siva lingam after every night and locked the sanctum door throughout the night. The same process was also done in a Siva's temple in Kanpur( Sivlaspur)
In one of the morning, Temple's priest opened the door of temple's sanctum and removed the white cloth from atop of Sivalingam, Priest found white cloth was moist, and Sivalingam was abhiseked and also new Vibuti and Chandan alankara was done on Lingam, which was a fresh one as it was wet too. Media folks couldn't able to belive that, recording shows no one entered the main sanctum, but Siva Lingam was abhiseked.

One day Lord Vishnu told Naranappa, you can write Mahabarath, need to visit Trikoteeswar(Gadag, in Karnataka) , on the dwadasi day, the first Brahman coming to my temple for Bhojana will be Aswattama. You approach Aswattama and He will do needful
Naranappa met Aswattama and told about Lord Vishnu's events. Aswattama agreed but with two conditions
1. Naranappa has to wear Dhoti and angawastram wet ones, I will narrate Mahabaratha, but when your wet clothes becomes dried, I will stop narrating the story and than next day same process
2. You will not disclose anything about me to anyone
Naranappa with wet clothes daily met Aswatta and was hearing Mahabaratha story from Aswattama., when Kadha parva part came ( Duryodhan and Bheema's mase fight), Aswattama went into emotion and cried. Naranappa clothes dried and Aswattam stopped the story.
In the night, Nranappa told about Aswattama weeping on Duryodhana's loss ( Aswattama and Duryodhan were thick friends in Mahabarath), as said by Aswattama, secret should not be revealed by Naranappa, therefore in Karnataka Bharata kathamanjari, the story of Mahabarath was upto Kada parva, than later on it was re-written
