Mahishasur Mardini Stotram ,plz reply senior members

Dear learned members
I am from north India and long back when I shifted to south I learned various mantras and stotram like Vishu Sahastra naama and Lalaita Sahastranaama and devi stotras....in all that Mahishasur mardini stotram is very dear to me....which i have read during Navdurga with a group of ladies with Lalita stotra....
My question is can I alone read the Mahishasur mardini stotra daily at home ...is there any rules regarding this stotra ,as per astrology is this any parihara ,connected to this.Plz enlighten specially what is in south culture that the senior generations has follwed it, in which manner?
