Rahu transit in cancer over but what if someone is born in punarvasu nakshatra

I am born in punarvasu 4th pada so thats cancer rashi , the rahu transit in cancer is over but true rahu is still in punarvasu 4th pada , i felt the most difficult time of my life started with rahu in punarvasu 4th than in entire cancer transit. I am simha lagna , how does one interpret this transit, will its move through entire punarvasu nakshatra have the same effect even though it has moved from my rashi.
