gan-yes your observation is right,i use lagna insted of moon.I will consider moon only to caliculate the strength of transit based on stars.To be precise,chandra sthitha navamsa rasi should be taken to know the strength of transits but that is a deeper subject..

shalu-It is not always true that reto gives negitive and direct gives positive results.It depends on some other factors in the chart.
For ex-saturn retro in one chart.such saturn gives travel to fr places.when he directs from his retro motion,he will sent back to your own place from your traveld place.[home coming].This happens when moon is ahead of such retro saturn. suppose if such retro saturn is ahead of Moon,the quite opposite will happens.A retro planet always reviews your pending matters while it is in retro.The positive-negitive results of a retro planet depends on 2-12 placed planets, both in natal and in transit too.
