Coming Ashtama shani be bad for Taurus ascendants ?

For Taurus ascendants Saturn would be transiting through their 8th house from moon starting in January 2017. Would it give its bad effects only if a Saturn dasha is running or it is bad in general? It’s a request to respected astrologers to please give their views on this.

Transits are judged from rashi and not lagna. So ashtam shani is applicable to Vrishabh (taurus) rashi natives.

True, Ashtama Shani should be viewed from moon sign (rashi). It generally gives a troublesome period of 2.5 years to the relevant rashi and would be worse if Shani mahadasha or antardasha is running in parallel.
