Hi Lonely Wolf,

Prasna Marga says the following about transiting planets:
The Sun and mars give their transit effects when they are in the beginning of the sign; Jupiter and Venus in the middle part ; and the Moon and Saturn in the last part. Mercury gives his effects throughout the sign.

Dear TLW Ji

Jupiter will be in 5th house of Gemini for me. While Ju in Gemini till June 2014, I will be running Me-Ke till 2014 June. Now my doubt is can I have beneficial results of Ju transit to 5th house while I am running Me-ke which is malefic ?

My details below :
K Gopala Rao
DOB: 13th July , 1968 time : 9.30 PM
POB : Visakhapatnam , Andhra Pradesh , India
83 E 24 , 17 N 42
Kumbha Rasi , Kumbha Lagna.

Jupiter transiting through the 5th house will bring auspicious results.. remember that 2, 5,7,9 and 11 are the transiting positions which will give auspicious results.. So, that makes only 5 years out of 12! Which means no doubts regarding the good effects!! :-)

Hi gopal,

It depends on a lot of factors.

For example: I'll give you a number of cases..

# When both Guru and shani are transiting through favourable houses, the results will be immensely good..

Now, you should also take into account ur MD and AD.. Transits come 2nd in priority and the no1 condition which should be satisfied for generating good results are your planet placements..

Having said that, transits will tell u whether a time is good or bad in general...

# You know, a few years back, when saturn was 8th to the 'Capricorn moon' Jupiter was also transiting through natal moon...

So it was Ashtamathu Shani + Janma Guru for capricorn moon people.. The result was dreadful for them.. I know a few people who suffered a lot.

Now, bringing that to the picture, we have to take into hand all possibilities in telling how good a time is and whether it is getting nullified by bad placement of Shani or not..

Cheers,
TLW

Hi,

Do these rules apply to the dashas (MD/AD/PD) of the planets mentioned?

Thanks,
Neel
