All other factors being equal - UTTARA PHALGUNI

Uttara Phalguni people while clean hearted can be hot tempered also. he does not have the requisite patience or tolerance , once he heats up it will be very difficult to calm him , but later on the repents over such expression when it is too late . However he will not admit his fault at any cost, even if he is convinced that he has done a wrong thing he will not admit the fact.

These people have a deep sense of loneliness if they are not involved in a meaningful relationship. Issues of co dependency and over giving may be present. Resentment and ingratitude towards significant others may result; the individual must learn to befriend aloneness instead of feeling lonely. A danger in meddling in black magic can occur because of the desire to control others. The animal symbol for this Nakshatra is a bull which can reflect a determined but stubborn nature. A critical streak may be observed.
When this Nakshatra is prominent in the birth chart, there may be gain or scandal or both through amorous adventures. . Lagna or moon here often couples good intelligence with a tendency towards indiscrete behavior and a capacity to enjoy life. While Benefics well placed in this Nakshatra may enhance intimate relationships malefic when poorly placed there will disturb them.

This Nakshatra is ruled by the Sun. The Sun has a devious side to it, which most astrologers ignore. It’s a master at fraud and lying. This Nakshatra has a lot to do with this side of the suns nature because of its strong connection to trickster Budha. In the olden days a king had to master 64 arts and lying gambling and fraud were a part of the 64 arts. When afflicted the native uses this trait to inflict damage on others.

When afflicted the person exhibits the following traits, self absorbed, arrogant, intolerant, over confident, strong convictions leads to strong temper, tries to have his own way too much, does not know the right time to give up or let go.When severely afflicted people under this Nakshatra indulge in perverted sexual acts to satisfy themselves if Venus is not favorable they land in trouble in sexual indulgence. Their love is not real and deep rooted. They freely mingle with people, but do not get close to them. They are proud and consider others incapable and worthless. They inflate the deficiencies and short comings of others.

All other factors being equal – HASTA

Varahamihira states, “One born in Hasta has active habits, is full of resources, is shameless and merciless, is a thief and a drunkard.

Lagna or Chandra in Hasta often indicates a clever, witty and entertaining person who is somewhat flighty and not very dependable. Unlike other Nakshatra born people Hasta Nakshatra individuals have full of frequent up’s and downs. At one moment he rises on top, and the next, falls to the bottom whether in the professional field or mental world. In other words, bad luck or luck visits him without an invitation or intimation. When he enters a particular field and starts gaining the object of his desire a reversal is already in store for him. While he tries to extadicate himself from such a reversal of fortune, help will come from unexpected quarters and rescue him, by this time, it would be too late and the damage would have already been done. Thus after help arrives; he is left with moderate gains. Just like the fire department which comes a tad too late, they extinguish the fire, but the goods are destroyed. What is left is the building. . It may appear that there is an inherent curse on the native as otherwise the sincerity and hard work which he shows does not yield good fruitful results.

Hardships impediments and restraints may occur early in life .health issue result because of the sensitive nature of Hasta (moon + Budha influence). A critical impatient nature will result. When stressed a clever cunning personality can develop. A merciless thievish mind may occur.

Savitar , the Nakshatras Diety is also considered as a crafty trickster, takiking pleasure in lying, gambling and fraud .

If Budha is weak in the chart they turn out to be less intelligent, hypocrites and liars. They advocate rules for trifle matters, they overestimate their ability. Illegally acquire other peoples assets, (They put their hands in other people’s pockets), over react when feeling threatened or disregarded, try their hand at everything, tries too hard. Over works. Ambitious without sufficient ability, too sensitive, overly sympathetic. Always over commits and gets exhausted.Get obsessed with keeping themselves busy, a trait which makes them invent unnecessary tasks or complicate relatively simple tasks .

One unique attribute of this Nakshatra is that when the 5th lord is associated with this Nakshatra it may deny children or create problems with them. Another tendency is that the wife of a Hasta Nakshatra native would have indulged in a lesbian activity in her youth. If a girl attains puberty in this Nakshatra, she gets royal pleasures in her later life. If people are born in the 2nd pada, they live separately from the mother. If the child is born in the 1st pada they can be detrimental to the father, if in the 3rd for the native himself.

All other factors being equal - CHITRA

Chitra people have strong sexual desires that need to be harnessed. It is sometimes associated with serpents. A passionate and seductive persona can develop, since the primary motivation is Kama. A smug arrogant self indulgent nature can develop. There is a tendency to give a reply on any matter without forethought and then wake up at the eleventh hour and try to rectify ones utterances when it is too late. Chitras temperament is demonic in nature. A strong ego and self centered ness can occur here. Chitra people should focus on allowing the Ego to die. They should remember what the words Ego stands for ……. “Edging god out”

If Moon is in Chitra and aspected or conjunct by Shani it makes the native vey cunning and unkind to all. He will not hesitate to go to any extreme for the sake of his selfish benefits. Chitra born natives cannot enjoy the love and affection of his father. It is also noticed that the father of the native leads a separated life, or if sun is afflicted by Saturn, death of the father at an early age is not ruled out. There is also a saying that Chitra natives cannot stay in the house they were born. Either the native leaves the house and settles down somewhere else, or the house he is born will be sold or destroyed .

Unless the horoscope of a female native is matched and compared properly there is likely hood of death of the partner, divorce, or complete absence of pleasure from the husband. In some cases childlessness is also noticed.

Chitra people are intellectually aggressive, intolerant, have an unclear thinking, need to be right too often, and pretend to know more than they do.

One outstanding factor about Chitra is that they develop a latent fascination for their own gender. This is bad considering that they have a deep fascination for sex.

All other factors being equal - SWATI

Swati symbolizes purification, restlessness, and a tendency to sway back and forth or experience some sort of instability. The deity of Swati is Vayu who reinforces its proclivity to restlessness and roaming.
A Swati native when pushed to the wall does not hesitate to take revenge on the person who is against him. Their child hood is full of troubles. He initially tries to give protection and a helping hand to his near and dear ones but changes his mind later due to the unwanted criticism received from people.

His family life will not be congenial. For the outsiders it might seem that they are the most adjustable couple. But in reality they are not.

Another peculiar trait is that if a female native takes up a job, that job gives her plenty of travel and she is forced to travel even though she does not like traveling.

If Rahu occupies the first pada the native will be cruel, without compassion or moral virtue and may suffer from frequent ailments. In the 2nd the native is poor and is not interested in doing any work.

Swati natives have a strong urge for comfort and luxury. A love for show and pomp is seen when Rahu is functioning in his lower plane. They come under a heavy influence of becoming a slave to their desires and are guided by greed and deceit to gain their ends. Swati people can be the most pretentious amongst all other Nakshatra people. This Nakshatra likes to play a dominant role in sexual activity. They are often prone to exploit mild forms of sex and sexuality for business purposes. They can be said to be more of a tease rather than a whore.
They get too involved in other people’s problems , take responsibility for things they can’t possibly fix, get into debts , give too much of what they have , self isolating , don’t stand up for themselves, smooth talkers, manipulators, secretive, and develop preposterous plans , create havoc all the time .

All other factors being equal - VISHAKHA

There is a fable that does the rounds amongst astrologers who perform Astamangala prashnas. They say that that when it is time for some people to be born under a particular Nakshatra, the Nakshatra goes and complains to Shiva and say “Why do you have to spoil my name by sending such people to be born in my realm. This is why I earn a bad name. Men like these are born to be infamous and I get to take the bad rap.” Shiva said “Do not worry, for every 10 people I allot to you, 9 will die in infamy, the one remaining will make you famous”. Lord Shiva keeps this promise to this day. Hermann Goering, Hitler’s right hand man was born in this Nakshatra. He happened to be famous no doubt, but he was from one of the 9. He died in infamy. Decades later Nicole Kidman also rose out of this very same Nakshatra. But we are only concerned about the likes of Goering. So let us get on with the show.

Vishakha like other Sanskrit terms evokes a wide variety of English meanings. In this case Vishakha means “forked”, "two branched", “poison vessel” amongst others.

Prash Trivedi ji who has written a master piece titled “Book of the Nakshatras” Has stated that in the present day and age the negative qualities tend to predominate a person’s life. When the negative takes over in the case of Vishakha, the Nakshatra usually functions as an obsessive, goal oriented Nakshatra with complete disregard for the nature of the means employed to achieve a desired end.
Vishakha cannot be seen as a pleasant Nakshatra. When striving towards a goal (In this case negative) becomes the only objective in life one is likely to have little piece of mind and will then definitely miss the true essence of life. Like John Lennon says “Life is what happens while we are busy making other plans" (Like trying to destroy somebody or something)

Vishakha true to its forked quality has two ruling deities Indra and Agni. In the Puranas Indra the kings of the heavens is often portrayed as a goal oriented fixated and offensive character who will go to any lengths to achieve his desired result , however lop sided it might be . The funny thing is that despite Indra thinks that he is spiritual and godly, craves for things which are only ungodly and materialistic in life. True to his forked nature, He looks at London while talking to Tokyo. This gets Indra into all sorts of trouble as a result. As we can see in the Puranas, Shiva and Shani have to both put him in his place time and again. But the shameless character that he is, he continues to indulge in all sorts of back handed games, and indulge in questionable games and ways thus creating bad karma as a result. This, in essence is the primary theme of Vishakha.

Indra is the ruler of heaven no doubt, the King of the devas. But his weakness lies in drowning himself with women wine and other such pleasures. The indulgent side of Indra finds his expression through Vishakha.
Indra’s main weapon is deceptiveness. He does not shy away from putting his own near and dear ones in danger in order to get what he wants. He often acts in a cowardly fashion at the first sign of real danger. It is helpful to remember that "Indra" “the ruler of heaven”, is just a post which is occupied by different souls in different times in heaven. Vishakha people are always in search of a post which will give them dominion and pleasure. When they fail to get it, or lose that post, they do not hesitate to use any back handed means to regain that post once again.

The other deity of this Nakshatra is Agni. Fire in its negative aspect can run amok and burn indiscriminately. In the same way Vishakha can cause harm to others around it before finally getting consumed itself. Terms like burning grief burning desire and burning passion are tailor made Vishakha expressions.
The nature of this Nakshatra can be summed in one word – “Fixation”. Even though its single-mindedness in pursuing its goals is unmatched, but its Achilles heel lies in “What goal it chooses to pursue”. In the present day and age the likely hood of forming unwholesome goals is intensively heightened. Vishakha natives easily fall prey to sex and alcohol. They are the ones who need to flock to the local bar.
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

VISHAKHA

A Vishakha Nakshatra Native has a sense of emptiness as a continuous feature throughout their lives. They are always concerned about what they don’t have rather than make the most of what they have. The grass is greener on the other side mentality breeds a cog mire of unwholesome emotions

Vishakha native’s behaviors can range from extremely courteous and jovial to completely nasty and obnoxious. They are concerned with putting up fonts to gain their ends. Most natives fall prey to envy jealousy viciousness and can help feeling useless in comparison to those around them. All these factors make Vishakha natives hard to get along with, making them bereft of any real friends. The real problem lies in the fact that these natives become obsessive about these negative feelings and thoughts and can’t let go of them. This is where the fire inside them starts burning their own selves instead of being put to any constructive use. Vishakha natives are defined by their obsessions which can range from petty to soul destroying.

Vishakha natives have to make a conscious choice to stay on the right path. They take life as a challenge of sorts. They usually make simple things complex and easy things difficult. They encounter a lot of obstacles due to the wrong paths they choose. The final paradox of the Nakshatra lies at the point where after achieving what they set out to achieve they are not sure if that’s what they wanted to achieve.

Vishakha types cannot give a reason for the bad things they have done because it is the most active Nakshatra in the zodiac and its obsessive approach to things.

The Nakshatra belongs to the Mleccha (Out caste) caste. The seers classified this Nakshatra as an out caste because they saw Vishakha as a natural trouble maker who could not function in society.

The Nakshatra is feminine in nature. Possessiveness, jealousy, and vindictiveness are regarded as familiarly feminine qualities in Vedic texts.

The Gana is that of a Rakshasa. A complete disregard for the others wellbeing is considered as a demonic quality and this Nakshatra displays it to the hilt. Vishakha Nakshatra people go about attaining their goals in a secretive and underhanded manner and most of its real intent and activity are concealed from others.
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

VISHAKHA

It is a soft and sharp Nakshatra. This again emphasizes the dual nature of the Nakshatra. The soft side is pleasure seeking the sharpness is the fixity of purpose to achieve that pleasure. The soft side is often what stops Vishakha Nakshatra types from turning into complete Psychopaths and at times it just acts as a disguise which lets them get away from their nefarious and dark activities.

According to Sage Varahamihira people born under this Nakshatra are jealous, greedy clever with words, shilled at making money, quarrelsome and good at inciting quarrels among others.

Vishakha people are often impelled to develop and perfect logical proofs for their dogmas so that they delve obsessively into their chosen subject. They then tend to present their findings so aggressively and persistently that they end up alienating their audiences. They thus lack intimate social involvement, especially friends, and a tendency to use people as means to an end. Vishakha people are therefore usually well advice to cultivate a greater awareness of the rights of others.

The shadow side of this Nakshatra can be an aggressive dictatorial nature these people can win the battle but lose the war by pushing their agendas too strongly. A quarrelsome personality may be present. There can be issues with suppressed anger and frustration. They may try to fill too many ambitions. They are envious or covetous of the success of others. They lack social network of friends and end up feeling isolated and alone against the world. Bitterness and resentment results. The moon gets his deep debilitation point in the last pada of this Nakshatra. They have a Rakshasa temperament and a strong sexual appetite. Problems due to romantic affairs and infidelity may occur. Issues with betrayal and disappointment can occur in early marriage.

The unfavorable traits and attitudes include careless and negative talk, sarcasm, unconstructive criticism, use people to their convenience, cynical, fault finding, not open to advice, offensive and not easy to like, greedy, fraudulent, domineering, quick to take offense, confrontational, suspicious, and jealous. People take advantage of by others, easily offended, undependable, unenthusiastic, and unhelpful distrustful and disbelieving
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

All other factors being equal - ANURADHA

Anuradha translates simply into "Another Radha" or "After Radha". The alternate name for Vishakha. It is a fact that Anuradha and Vishakha are a pair, but this is often ignored most of the times.

The symbol of this Nakshatra is a staff. The alternate symbol is the Lotus. A lotus is the only flower which reaches the feet of God, even though it grows in the Murkiest and the filthiest of water. The association of the Lotus signifies that Anuradha Nakshatra keeps itself pure and satvic in any surroundings.

All nice on paper. But reality is something else all together. I find it difficult to accept that a Nakshatra ruled by Shani, In the Rashi of Kuja, and Where the Moon is in debilitation can deliver good results. I have found that Anuradha Nakshatra people are prone to commit deceit, deception, and get into Depression. They are secretive, get upset easily, are reserved, envious, Harsh, always suspicious of others and do not understand the impact of their actions on the others. They are anxious to succeed even at other people's cost .It is said that an Anuradha Nakshatra man ends up facing great difficulties and obstacles in his life. There is no peace of mind in his life. Even the smallest problem starts pinching his mind repeatedly and he runs after that problem in his mind . He is always thinking of taking revenge whenever the opportunity crops up. Till then he lies around keeping this incident in his mind. In the end there is no peace. He cannot keep a stable relationship with anybody in his life. At the work place he uses his talent of deceit and deception to pocket his superiors. He does not derive any benefit from his co-borns, or from his parents.

I will sum up my contention with one really good example. Mr. Saddam Hussein. His Moon is in the Nakshatra of Anuradha. Kuja the Rashi lord is within 2 Deg of Chandra and thus creates a powerful Neecha Bhanga. But that is where it ends. A cursory glance at his life should give you an understanding of how this Nakshatra functions in its lower plane.

Anuradha people are interested in anything to do with the occult and with hidden issues. They are extremely sensitive on an emotional plane even though they like to put up a tough exterior. People born in the 1st pada have a tendency towards excessive pride or militancy. If Kuja is weak they succumb to addiction of intoxicants.

The Nakshatra is a Tamasic Nakshatra due to its relationship with both Shani and Kuja, two inherently Tamasic planets. It belongs to the fire element. Its association with Kuja is responsible for it. Anuradha’s fire is more like fire over water.

Anuradha end up living far away from their birth places. They are never satisfied with their residences and tend to roam and move about from place to place.
It is said that out of all the Nakshatras, Anuradha people cannot control their appetites and cannot control their hunger.

It is said that Anuradha create their own problems and suffer because of this , Just like a scorpion dies from its own poison, Anuradha people too succumb due to their own actions . It is also said that soon after a child is born under this nakshatra a sad event takes place in the family . They also tend to hoard money as thay think money to be the source of power . Sorrowful events in their child hood make them highly reserved and detached .
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

All other factors being equal - JEYSHTHA

One of the most dangerious Nakshatras to be in. I have given below the fateful degrees of the Nakshatra and its effects. All other factors being equal.

Divide the Nakshatra into 10 equal divisions i.e. divide 13 Deg 20 into 10 equal divisions. Convert the degree into minutes i.e. 13 degrees X 60 minutes = 780 minutes + 20 minutes = 800 minutes. So each 1/10 of Jyeshtha Nakshatra will be 80 minutes or 1 Deg and 20 minutes.

00.00 – 01.20 (226.40 -228.00 of the zodiac) – Danger or death to the maternal grand mother
01.20 – 02.40 (228.00 – 229.20 of the Zodiac) – Danger or death to the Maternal grand father
02.40 – 04.00 (229.20 - 230.40 of the zodiac) – Danger or death to the Maternal uncle
04.00 – 05.20 (230.40 – 232.00 of the zodiac) – Danger or death to the mother

All other factors being equal - Jeyshta - When afflicted

Jyeshtha Nakshatra individuals do not have the capacity to face even the smallest of troubles. He is the type of person to whom no secret should be told or given. He cannot keep anything hidden, even if it pertains to his own life. They are hot tempered and obstinate, due to which they face a lot of problems and forms a wall to his progress in life. Because of his hot tempered attitude he will not hesitate to cause problems and troubles even to those who have rendered him all possible help. He is even capable of ill treating the very same people who lent a helping hand in his time of need. They have a severe inferiority complex, which they hide by appearing to be proud on the outside.

Jyeshtha like to maintain a separate existence and identity and so is generally disliked by his near and dear ones. His own near family dislikes him, but they put up a front to show that they care. In reality the reverse is true.

The period from 18 – 26 years of age will be most troublesome. During this period they will have to undergo financial problems, mental agony, as also in some cases mental derangement.
Women born in Jyeshtha have a tougher life than male counterparts. She lacks marital harmony. Sometimes loss of children is also noticed. In some cases it is noticed that such a native is subject to the harassment from in-laws and several false stories are concocted against her. She needs to be very careful when she deals with her relatives, friends and neighbors as they are the people who put poison in her life. A worriless period is rarely available to her. Since she makes her own rules to be abided by her children, she will be neglected by them as a vengeance to what she has done to them during their childhood. Women born under this Nakshatra do not keep good health. It is seen that women born under this Nakshatra suffer from disorders of the uterus.
When the Moon is in this Nakshatra the person’s over all mentality will be cruel in nature.
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

All other factors being equal - Jyeshtha - when afflicted

When afflicted Jyeshtha can cause poverty and a fall from grace. These people have few friends and desire seclusion. A secretive, vindictive and hypocritical nature is observed. They can be involved in religious practices while simultaneously entrenched in materialistic pursuits. Internal conflicts about one’s self image and self esteem can result. Arrogance pride and egotism must be held in check. The native possesses an irritable and combative nature. Lagna or Moon in this Nakshatra often indicates a two faced hypocritical and secretive nature.
One peculiar trait is that when the lord of the 7th house is posited in this Nakshatra it inclines marriage with an older person or with a person who is senior in his or her family. All other factors being equal.

Jyeshtha people are obsessive, jealous, impatient, and inconsiderate, pretend to be patient and spiritual, tries to controls others by making them dependent upon them. They “need to act like adults” always think that things are not fair, resentful from not asking for the support they need for themselves, dramatize illness to get sympathy, inconsistent and unreliable. There response is given without thinking and these lands them into trouble eventually. Though they appear outwardly bold they shatter under pressure of difficulties.

In the Puranas Indra , the ruling deity of this Nakshatra comes out as a rumbustious , proud vain tricky and unreliable character . Most of those elements are conveyed through this Nakshatra. In a way, Jyeshtha is very similar to Vishakha, the other Nakshatra ruled by Indra. Jyeshtha is however much more controlled secretive and deliberating in comparison to Vishakha. An afflicted Jyeshtha brings out the negative qualities like depravation, misuse of power and authority, unnecessary vanity.

Jyeshtha is a Nakshatra where keeping up an image is more important than anything else. Jyeshtha natives usually do everything from a point of view which cares a great deal about how others perceive them. They want to gain respect in society and do whatever it takes to adhere to the prevailing standard.
Jyeshtha people are apt to magnifying their woes and troubles. There is no beating jester when it comes to unnecessary exaggerated moaning and groaning.
A revengeful and vindictive tendency is often noticed in Jyeshtha natives. They fall prey to jealousy very easily and are always on the look out to put others down.

In the present day and age most planets placed here need to be watched very carefully by a astrologer as they usually work against the natives peace of mind only a well placed Budha can give good results .
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

All other factors being equal - MULA

The presiding deity of Mula is Nirriti. Nirriti is a goddess with a dark complexion and dressed in black clothes. It is said that she lives in the kingdom of the dead. As she represents evils a special prayer to keep her away is said before commencement of any rituals to be held under this Nakshatra.

Nirriti (calamity) is the goddess of dissolution who personifies evil and corruption and is sometimes known as Alakshmi, the opposite of Lakshmi the goddess of prosperity .Nirriti either directly induces material privation or causes prosperity to deteriorate after it is attained. Nirriti is said to be the daughter of Adharma ( Unrighteousness ) and Himsa (Violence ) and the mother of Mrityu ( Death ) and Bhaya ( Fear )
It can be clearly seen that Mula is not a very pleasant Nakshatra.

Females born in this Nakshatra unlike their male counter parts cannot enjoy full marital bliss. She will have a separated life from her spouse either due to the death of the husband or divorce. She remains adamant with her decisions. She lacks the diplomacy required to handle her spouse and thus ends up landing into problems.
I have seen that If Ketu is in any way associated with Guru; the person will have an excellent academic record and will reach the top. But she is highly devious. sadistic and heartless. They actually enjoy seeing other people land in trouble. If Kuja is placed badly she is sure to have a lot of trouble from her husband and children.

Results due to birth in specific divisions due to Pada dosha. Like Jeyshta, Mula is also a Nakshatra which has Pada dosha.

Divide the Nakshatra into 15 divisions

00 00 00 – 00 53 20 – Death of the father
00.53.20 – 01 46 40 – Death of the father’s brother
01 46 40 – 02.40 00 – Death of the sister’s husband
02 40 00 – 03 33 20 – Death of the paternal grand father
03 33 20 – 04 26 40 – Death of the Mother
04 26 40 – 05 20 00 – Death of the mothers sister
05 20 00 – 06 13 20 – Death of the mothers brother
06 13 20 – 07 06 40 – Death of the paternal uncles wife
07 06 40 – 08 00 00 - Very bad for the entire surroundings
08 00 00 – 08 53 20 – Bad for animals and pets
08 53 20 – 09 46 40 – Ruin to the servants
09 46 40 – 10 40 00 – Death of the native
10 40 00 – 11 33 20 – Death of eldest brother
11 33 20 – 12 26 40 – Death of eldest brother
12 26 40 – 13 20 00 – Death of mothers father

The fateful degrees for Mula are follows

Kuja – 02 00 Deg
Rahu – 10 00 Deg
Ketu – 11.00 Deg

MULA

Abhukta Mula is a term used to call a birth when the Moon or lagna falls in the last degree in the constellation of Jyeshtha or the first two degree of Mula. A child born in Abhukta Mula usually struggles for existence and it will do things contrary to the progress of the class in which it is born. It is said that a child born in the last two degrees of Ashlesha and the first degree of Magha face the same fate. It is said that a child born in Abuktha Mula should be abandoned. If this is not possible the father of the native should not look at the child for a period of 8 years.

It is said that a girl born in Mula will cause ruin to her parent’s family. I have found this to be true to an extent. In one case the girl is doing fabulously well professionally and financially. However the father of the girl left home soon when she was 8 years old. The parents started fighting ever since the child was born and the father had to leave home when he could no longer take it. It is said that if a boy marries a girl born in Mula Nakshatra the boy’s mother becomes a widow within a year. I have not come across any such situation yet.
Mula is a very powerful Nakshatra on a material plane. It gives worldly status prosperity etc. . . . The only thing is that it usually takes it away from the Native at some point.

It is in Mula’s nature to quickly cut out and destroy things that “they think” has lost value. It is an impulsive Nakshatra. More often than not they regret their actions in hindsight.

Mula Nakshatra natives are proud and haughty by nature. They are not able to comprehend their own abilities and power. In some cases this is a good thing as their ability to inflict damage upon themselves and others is restricted by their ignorance.

It's dreadful and demonic side comes from the negative functioning of Ketu. This Nakshatra can induce ego vanity and arrogance which can lead one to perform abominable and demonic actions.

A Mula native displays one form of arrogance or the other in their dealings with others. Sarcasm, Boldness and reservedness go hand in hand in Mula’s behavioral patterns. They have a tendency to over dramatize or underplay a situation. They have a peculiar way of looking at any given situation which puts them at odd with the others.

Mula is said to induce natives to take up professions like Morticians and those who perform autopsies.
It also rules places like abattoirs, cremation grounds and places connected to death.
This Nakshatra is a Tamasic Nakshatra and can cause all sorts of confusion, paranoia and fears in the individual. It is also a hard sharp and dreadful Nakshatra. These qualities make them sadistic in nature.

Mula Nakshatra individuals tell people what they want to hear to gain their support all the while knowing full well that they are liars. They are self centered, deceptive, generate suspicion too focused on their goals to the determent of others values, talk more than they accomplish, arrogant and haughty, put on airs, indulge in multiple relationships at all times . They are unstable, lack true appreciation for others, self Sabotaging, and incapacitate themselves to provide an excuse for failing. For a Mula individual pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

All other factors being equal - PURVA ASHADA

Purva Ashadha people have exemplary intelligence. This intelligence has to be used carefully. If not it can only lead to chaos for themselves and for others .

There is a marked tendency to jump to conclusions on matters that he deals with. Nobody can defeat him in an argument, (however wrong he is). He has extraordinary convincing power (Like Hitler) he will not under any circumstance subdue to others whether he is right or wrong. On one side you can have a lot of advice from him, but you can never render any advice to him.

While he expresses that he is courageous and that he will do things on his own accord, he cannot reach that state unless he is forced either by circumstances or by other persons who challenge him to show the requisite courage (Like Hitler). Once he is aroused by instigation or argument he takes a decision without thinking of the merits and demerits of such actions and he will stick to that decision to the end, right or wrong. Such is the obstinate character of the native.

He thinks he is doing the best for the others and does a lot of things for them ( Right or wrong ) but gets nothing in return , in the end, he will be subjected to a lot of criticism from the very same people who he thinks he has done a favor to (like Hitler). The best part is that he derives maximum benefit from unknown persons who later on take advantage of him (Just like Hitler was taken advantage of). The beauty is that he can never keep any permanent relationship with anybody.

Purva Ashadha people always imagine themselves to be above others, yet are often degraded as unrefined and under developed, not open to advice, often end up with hard working and low paying jobs, and always have bouts of loud and raucous behavior.

The shadow side of Purva Ashadha is hubris (Hubris also hybris, means extreme haughtiness, pride or arrogance. Hubris often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one's own competence or capabilities, especially when the person exhibiting it is in a position of power.) and an egoistic nature. these natives can exhibit an over expansive nature and do what they like without considering others opinions ( like Hitler who lost the war because he did not care to listen to his generals ) They are good debaters and can defeat any one in an argument they can become obstinate and will not submit to the demands of any one . Mental aggression and self-deception is present.

Purva ashada’s alternate symbol is the elephant’s tusk. It is interesting that at the time I was writing this I got news that two elephants had entered the city of Mysore in the Morning and created havoc, killing a man and a cow that was tethered to a sign post. I rushed to watch the TV footage where they covered the gory massacre live. The elephant used its tusk to gore both the Man and the cow. An expert on elephants made a statement “This elephant was on a rampage and by its aggressions was declaring war on man. “ Purva Ashadha is just that. “This Nakshatra is associated with the declarations of war and other aggressions. The Nimitta was good . The Nakshatras had smiled on me, Giving me a good example no doubt, but in line with this thread, in an absolutely gory manner.

The other symbol is a fan. Fanning is actually an act of showing aggression against heat. One point with this Nakshatra is that it tends to produce strong desires to improve one’s circumstances. When badly afflicted this often occurs in self-indulgent ways.
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

PURVA ASHADHA

The one characteristic which sets Purva Ashadha apart from all other Nakshatras is its intense conviction that "It can’t lose". Purva Ashadha feels and thinks that it has the ability to come on top in whatever it directs its energies this strong notion of invincibility is misplaced as we can see with Hitler’s like. He not only lost the war, but the heights of humiliation were that he had to end up killing himself in order to become fodder for the Russians. He was forced to swallow all his pride, invincibility and ego in a capsule in his mouth and a bullet in his head.

It is one of the most optimistic nakshatras no doubt, but when afflicted, this optimism is more often than not misplaced. Not only that, this optimism has a tinge of impatience. This is the root cause for the beginning of the individuals down fall. This Nakshatra individual is completely undaunted by setbacks and does not ponder over its failure. This trait might look good on the surface, but in reality it’s negative in the sense that it hardly ever learns from its mistakes.

Many a times one finds that the individual has unrealistic hopes, ambitions and goals .Hitler is a classic example of this. He bit more than he could chew. He started a war with unrealistic aims, way beyond the power of his army and the nation’s resources. This “Just do it ” attitude and “I will not accept that it cannot be done” attitude, eventually leads to the man’s down fall.

The individual does not take into account the feelings and concerns of people around them they are insensitive and even cruel in situations where they don’t get what they want. When they realize that they are not getting their way, they declare war or indulge in similar type aggressions which ultimately bring about destruction followed by sorrow and regret.

Purva Ashadha are born natural show offs. Their demeanor can change from jovial to serious in the twinkling of an eye.

One can’t always tell their inner thoughts from their outward appearances. They always like to keep a part of themselves secret.

It is an Ugra Nakshatra It is this Nakshatras Naïveté of acting without a care for consequences or repercussions which make it a dangerous Nakshatra. It is a volatile Nakshatra which is hard to control once it is on fire. It presses on with its severe actions even after it has realized the futility of them. This Nakshatra is unfavorable for activities requiring tact and diplomacy.
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji

All other factors being equal - UTTARA ASHADHA

My Natal lagna Nakshatra :

Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra people are constantly active In the Mind. Physically they are lazy people. As far as the mind goes, the opposite effect of laziness can occur. They need to feel fully engaged in a project or apathy can result. They start a new enterprise and fail to complete them or have to run helter skelter to complete them. A self-centered stubborn personality can occur when Uttara Ashadha is afflicted.

The Makara side of this asterism Induces loneliness or a melancholy nature when Shani is poorly placed. These people need to learn patience in confronting early adversity in life. This is the only Nakshatra in the zodiac which does not have a female animal counterpart. The animal symbol is a male mongoose. Some difficulty in early marriage or sexual incompatibility may result

Women born in this nakshatras are "Obstinate dare devils" Their utterances are not well thought out and she jumps into conflicts with others. This category of females fit the proverb “there are two horns for the rabbits I have got".

People born in the 1st pada will be sexually inclined to other women. In the 2nd pada he pretends to be charitable but in actual practice he is a cunning miser.

The biggest problem of this Nakshatra is that they take on too many people’s problems and get stressed out. They stay too long in a destructive relationship don’t know when to end a relationship unstable residences moves around a lot or goes on frequent journeys. They are overly concerned about other people’s problems and cannot say no. This attitude eventually lands them in problems they can never come out of.

Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra is the complete opposite of Ashlesha. They can never get along, and with good reason. The animal related to Ashlesha is a snake while that of Uttara Ashadha is a Mongoose. These two nakshatras are opposite to each other and are also placed opposite to each other. There is open enmity and war fare between these two nakshatras. This Nakshatra has little tolerance for underhanded or deceptive tactics that Ashlesha indulges in. However the mongoose is forced to be as cunning in its own way and finds its way out of dangerous and complex situations.

Budha, Shukra and Guru when placed in this Nakshatra can make the person prone to excessive and misplaced idealism. Every error one makes under the influence of this Nakshatra is prone to be magnified due to the enormous capacity of this Nakshatra to influence the material world.

An Uttara Ashadha native dresses like a simpleton. He does not know how to deceive others and would not like to create trouble for others, so much so that due to his inherent good behavior he often lands himself into uncalled problems He is a slave to flattery and expects others to look after his welfare.

Every action of his needs to be recognized by others otherwise he is dragged into a state of unhappiness. He is subjected to maximum happiness one moment and maximum unhappiness the next.

He needs to be extra careful before he collaborates with other people . He needs to completely screen people with whom he is going to deal with. If not failure is certain.
Through hard work and spiritual practices, a person gets honor and dignity. The lazy one who puts in no efforts is like a fool who allows salt to be spilled on the wounds of his misfortunes. The idler depending only on fate, achieves nothing. - K.N.Rao ji
