How important is Lagna nakshatra and its lord in prediction? Experts,please throw some light.

Hi,

In my humble opinion/understanding Lunar Constellation or Nakshatra placement of Udaya Lagna is very important.

In reality, most knowledgeable folk seem to give much more importance to the Lunar Constellation or Nakshatra placement of Moon/Chandra, perhaps due to unclear definition of what actually constitutes a birth (from a timing perspective) and/or non-reliability and inaccuracy of actual birth-time - and more so in the olden times, until the digital (clock) era.

I sincerely hope others share their thoughts/understanding and contribute towards better clarity on this topic.

LNL is considered to be a very auspicious planet for that Lagna , and will not give adverse results even if the lord of 8H.

If strong, the Nakshatra lord of Lagna can transfer its temperment (vata.pitta,kapha) to the body.

It can also influence the way in which the body responds to an external stimulus (slow if Staurn, wisely if Jupiter,fast if Mars, playful if Mercury, feminine responses if female planets). If Rahu or Ketu, the response can be unpredictable, aggressive and daring sometimes or shady and withdrawn at others.

What if the lagna lord and lagna nakshatra lord are staunch enemies and both are natural benefic planets? How do they behave in a horoscope? What if the langa nakshatra lord happens to be 6th lord? Please explain.

Placement of lagna's nakshatra and navamsa lords may be considered in addition to that of lagna lord when studying lagna bhava.

Hi,

In Satya Jataka it is written that we have to find the shadbala of lagna and Moon. The nakshatra of the stronger of the two is selected as janma nakshatra. Vimshottari dasha is then calculated from the janma nakshatra thus identified.
