Which planet represents sulfur in Jyotish?

Post by pheobewinterbottom » 23 Sep 2019

So I was trying to find out which planet represents sulfur in Vedic astrology.

Looked it up online and I hardly got any definitive results.

In one website which seemed to be of western astrology, it said it’s represented by Sun. (Heat, yellow color, etc)

But then on some other website which claimed to be Vedic astrology, it said it’s represented by Saturn. (Which I guess I could understand since Saturn rules calcium which makes the bones, and sulfa is involved in bone health.)

But these are just vague articles with no sources listed.

I’m looking for something cited by a great astrology like maybe BV Raman, Sanjay Rath, or anyone else of experience, etc.

Thanks :)

Ps. These are the links I was referencing to:

1. Western astrology (sun) - https://elementalastro.wordpress.com/ca ... d-mercury/

2. Jyotish (Saturn) - https://www.astrology-prophets.com/satu ... rology.php

Mars and Rahu represent chemicals. Saturn-minerals. This is a general rule. You can have a look in http://forum.alchemyforums.com/archive/ ... t-266.html which gives details on Sulphur related. This follows alchemy.

We follow the classification like Dhatu-jeevan-moola. Dhatu refers metals and in some cases non metals as well. The Planets Rahu, Mars, Saturn and the Moon are lords of Dhatu in the birth chart. Sun and Venus=Moola responsible for all vegetations. Mercury, Jupiter and Ketu rule over jeevas (living beings). These divisions are applicable to signs in D1 ,D3 and D9. Such classifications find application in diagnosing diseases and choice of medicines-like medicine made up of dhatu moola or jeevan.

Sun-Asthi (Bones) Moon-Rakta (Blood) Mars-Majja (Bone Marrow) Mercury-Twacha (Skin) Jupiter-Vasa (Adipuse tissue) Venus-Shukra (Semen/Sperm) Saturn-Snayu (Muscle)
