Patience is very important in learning anything, being cool is a need for a learner. Without calming one's mind things are hard to digest, for a learner it is very important.
In Vedic days there are lot of perfect students under various Guru, but generally we say a perfect student is Vighneshwar under Vyas ji (Guru).
Our Mind (Moon) should be well placed preferably in fixed Rashi in d24. Our mind shouldn't have any distractions.
Open minded is required... So there are lot of things to consider.
Our learning abilities should be good, Mercury, 4H Lord, 2H Lord, our willingness should be there from self till soul level for perfection. We need AK, Lagna Lord.
debilitated planets in d24 makes one to work hard in that field to achieve success.
Learners should have good listening capabilities, so planets in Shravana Nakshatra may have a say.
There are lot to consider. Let's all add all the points.
The following is my personal opinion, a good student is always a good teacher... I know people may not agree, but even then I'd stick with my saying.
