What is the significance of a combust planet?if a planet is combust will the lordship of the houses he owns will get affected?lets say mars is combust in 5th house and it owes 7th and 12th house for vrishba lagna..

When a planet is combust, sun will take the lordship and give in his dasa and bhukti.
When Mars is combust, the person will get marriage (7th house) and foreign opportunity/separation/isolation etc in sun dasa or bhukti

What is the significance of a combust planet?
Depending on the level of combustion. A planet may lose its potential to cause effects it signifies.
Eg. 7th lord in 5th house is deep combust. Although a Rajyoga, will not come to fruition as expected.

YES, again depends on the level of combustion.
lets say mars is combust in 5th house and it owes 7th and 12th house for vrishba lagna.
This mars may cause delay in marriage, as the 7th lord becomes weak 7th house matters will get disturbed (If affliction to 7th house present).
As 12th lord in 5th house itself is a problem, but because the 12th lord here is weak whatever losses 5th house was suppose to have would be mitigated a little.
Results may seem to appear closer to the end of dashas.
But any comments should be made only when whole horoscope is considered and not just 1 planet. Navamsa matters and so does nakshatra placements.
