Hi Learned Members
Revati is the last Nakshatra so it is clever. It imbibes all the energies of the Nakshatras that come before it. But Revati is the Nakshatra that is preparing all the living beings before the start of the journey for the next re-birth or for moksha (liberation). As such it tends to be erratic in this material world and prove to be not very stable in its action and behaviour exception for its pada that comes under Saturn, or Saturn cast an aspect on a planet in Revati.
The other way is when Moon is in Revati, another planet exists in Saturn ruled Nakshatras based on the Tara concept, such planets prove to be "Best Friends" to the Moon in Revati.......but this is especially strong for the planet is in Uttara Bahadra since this planet would then be conjuncting the Moon in Revati.
Mercury is Saturn's grandson and Uttara Bahadra is ruled by the deity of the deep sea serpent, who periodically goes to sleep and only wakes up when things are amiss on Earth, otherwise it will be in deep slumber holding up the Earth.
So people with Moon in Revati with a friendly planet to Moon in Uttara Bahadra (like Mars who is friendly to Moon and can co-exist and work together in Saturn's environment, Mars being exalted in Capricorn), the person has the best of both worlds. He is smart and intelligent and he has an Enterprise Angel
If this occurs in the 7th house, the person would have start up capital at his disposal to do business. If this occurs in the 9th house, the person would have a Guru to direct his fortune (could be father too, if the said planet happened to be the Sun).
Anyway, in general, we do not depend on so much of this configuration, since Moon conjunct Jupiter usually would give the required support all round. But just a thought.

Re: Some Thoughts on Revati and Uttara Bahadra Jointly
The above is just my random thoughts at the Rasi Chart level involving Moon with one other friendly planet who can work in Saturn environment, like Mars.
Now here comes the twist in how it applies to me. in my case :
(1) The planets involve change.
(2) Navamsa (a lower level divisional chart) is ued.
(3) We look at charts across persons.
(4) And because we are concerned about Nakshatra placements even at the Navamsa chart level, this shows that degrees in Navamsa chart works. If degree works, aspects should also work in Navamsa charts. And according to PVR, the degree in lower level divisional charts do not conflate with the degree in Rashi. I believe what he meant you cannot compare apples with oranges ie. 1 degree in Navamsa or any lower divisional chart does not equal to 1 degree in the Rashi chart. But we can always superimpose the Navamsa on the Rasi Chart (that is for natal analysis) or superimpose the Rasi Chart on the Navamsa (that is for transit analysis). Here we are superimposing by signs, although when we analyse each chart independently, we take their positions by degrees, even though the degree in Rasi Chart does not equate with the degree in the lower level divisional charts, Navamsa included. That is why in the lower level divisional chart, you Mercury opposite of Venus say, or Saturn standing next to the Sun etc.
My father has the Sun at the Rasi Chart level in Uttara Bhadapadra. I have Jupiter in Revati in Navamsa.
Navamsa represents father too (not just spouse) because it deals with the 9th house (BPHS treats Navamsa as spouse mainly - so the 7th to the Navamsa Ascendant is yourself PLUS your relationship with the spouse or the world and karaka is Venus). The normal Navamsa also represents yourself PLUS your relationship with your father (since it is a detailed analysis of the 9th house) and the karaka is Jupiter.
So we are an ideal match. I give him spiritual strength and he give me material strength. We work hand in hand. Jupiter is life and as long as I am alive, he has something to live for. As long as he is alive he will be my handyman.

Re: Some Thoughts on Revati and Uttara Bahadra Jointly
Remember, the correspondence between the lower divisional charts and the Rasi chart is by SIGNS and NOT BY DEGREES, although we can analyse each divisional chart BY DEGREES which is a different degree from that of the Rasi chart.
Just a quick detour :
For the Saptamsa (D-7), it represents your children. So since you are the father, to find yourself, take the 9th house of the Saptamsa as the Ascendant of the Saptamsa AND THAT WOULD BE YOURSELF.
Also the normal Saptamsa is ALSO a chart of yourself since it is a dissection of the 7th house. PLUS it shows the physical relationship with your spouse and the world (D-9 with 7th house as the Ascendant, the relationship is more dharmic, that is why the rotated D-9, just discussed, shows more than the normal D-7 (this is separate from the rotated D-7 which shows yourself PLUS the relationship with your children)).

Re: Some Thoughts on Revati and Uttara Bahadra Jointly
Just some minor change on the karakas :
For the normal Navamsa, since it represents the spouse and yourself, BOTH Venus and Jupiter are the karakas.
For the Navamsa taking the 7th house as the Ascendant, since it represents yourself only and your interaction with the world, only Venus is the karaka.
For the normal Saptamsa, since it represents your children and yourself, BOTH Jupiter and Jupiter (meaning only Jupiter - no change) are the karakas.
For the Saptamsa taking the 9th house as the Ascendant, since it represents your relationship with your children, Sun is the karaka. The Sun represent you as a parent.

hi
you wrote 7th house in navamsa can represent ourself. This is interesting, so does that mean we can see our spouse characteristics from ascendant of d9 ?
thank you

Re: Some Thoughts on Revati and Uttara Bahadra Jointly
Now back to the original subject of the thread.......
If we take out the constraint that the Nakshatras must be Revati for the son or Uttara Bhadapadra for the father......but we still use D-9 for Jupiter for the son (signifying the son itself under the auspices of the father) and take D-1 (Rashi Chart) for Sun for the father (signifying the Jataka's role as a father towards his son in physical terms like caring for him, giving him sustenance etc.
Then you look for the Nakshatra the Sun is placed in D-1 for the father, and the Nakshatra Jupiter is placed in D-9 for the Sun.
See the relationship between the said Nakshatras whether there is any Vedak etc. (you can use the Sabatobhadra Chakra). Also look at the nature of the Nakshatras concerned (not just the Guna but also the deity etc...in fact the general nature).
After all the analysis, you can then conclude the relationship between father and son.
You can modify the above technique (using appropriate divisional charts including the Rasi) to use it to predict the relationship between any two persons (remember to choose the appropriate planet, but Jupiter normally would be the one representing yourself if you are choosing to analysing the relationship between yourself and the other person; for ladies take Venus and Jupiter as representing self with Venus taking a larger weightage about 70%). Savatobharda Chakra is handy to be around to analyse the relationship between the aspects of two Nakshatras.

Yes, most importantly you must choose the appropriate divisional chart for analysis. Do the necessary rotation if required but not likely you would need to do that. D-9 and D-7 are special cases.

Pank :
Yes the Ascendant of D-9 like I said, represents both your spouse as well as yourself.

I wrote this post to show everyone how sometimes new astrological precepts can be discovered serendipitiously provided your spiritual faith is strong. Not just through logic and mathematics.
