Meditate on the Dolphin Stellar Sphere as the Lord - Rahu

Post by Khoo Hock Leong » 10 Mar 2017

Hi Learned Members

Rahu is considered as the midnight Sun is Nadi Astrology. This means Rahu can be taken as representative leader of all the other planets (just like the Sun).

In te Shrimad Bhagavan, there is a passage which says that the Lord can be meditated as the stellar sphere in the form of the body of a dolphin which lies coiled with its head downwards.

At the taile end of the dolphin is the polestar. One the tail are located four stars representing Kayapa, Agni, Indra and Dhrma. At the root of the tail are Dhata and Vdhata. At the hip is Ursa Major, representing the seven sages. On the right side of the dolphin are the fourteen constellations of the northern hemisphere, and on the left side are the other fourteen. At its upper jaw is Agasti and at its lower jaw is Yama. Mars is athe mouth, Saturn is at its generative organ, Jupiter on the hump, the Sun at the chest, Narayana in the heart, the moon in the mind, Venus at the navel, and the Asvini Kumara at the breasts. Mercury is located at the breadth, Rahu is at the neck; and the Ketu (comets) are throughout the body. All other stars are rooted in the hairs of the divine dolphin.

Every day at sunrise and sunset one should contemplate this divine form of lord Visnu which is composed of all the divinities, and, devoutly waiting upon the Lord, utter the following prayer :

"Salutations to the supreme being, the wheel of time, the ruler of Gods. Thus we meditate upon him".

He who repeats the prayer thrice daily is freed from all sins, the sins of one who contemplates this divine form are immediately wiped out.

As Rahu represents the overall dolphin as well, this worship is especially useful when Rahu is in a water sign conjuncting a watery planet, preferably forming a Raja Yoga by virtue of placing in a kendra/trine conjuncting a ruler of trine/kendra respetively, and the overall yoga is found 2nd to the Sun, with the Sun being the nexus of the formation of the Vishnu Yoga.

But based on the scriptures it should be beneficial for everyone.

Best Regards
Khoo
