Someone has said to me this statement:
Venus+Ketu will make a person unfaithful to their partner.
Venus+Rahu will attract an unfaithful partner.
Is there truth to this statement? My brother has Venus conjunct Ketu in his lagna (Makara) and he is planning marriage with a woman soon. Perhaps he should wait until he is much older with this combination in his lagna?

Rahu also represents the multi-coloured one and thus crave for variety. Any planet it touches the crave for variety for that planetary signification is there. Like Nehru which has Jupiter + Rahu abide by many philosophical systems, both Western and Eastern. So people with Venus + Rahu, if they intend to settle down for a relationship, then they either choose a partner that can provide for a multi-faceted variety in all spheres of the relationship, or they go for swinging partners or practise open relationship which also denotes tolerance on the part of the partner.
Ketu binds and hence denote intense faithfulness of the individual. So the partner may seem to fall short in certain ways. The partner can never be as faithful as the individual so always seem to fall short even if there is no true unfaithfulness on the side of the partner. The trick to make the marriage last is for the individual to be less donineering and not put the partner on a high pedestal.

This along with how you said it may not be as dangerous in his lagna leads me to believe that we should just allow the marriage to go ahead. I hope that the marriage is satisfactory for him.

Mercury represents details and Rahu is a show off. And in the 10th it means all your private life gets leaked out. It also shows that your bosses would always manage to find out things about you. So do not bother to hide it.
Mercury is the bird and Rahu is the serpent. So your conduct and behaviour must always be spick and span and above board. Mercury is after all the boss of Rahu and can peck it until it becomes lifeless.
This combination in Aires also shows your penetrating insight of others ie. you have the uncanny ability to know how situations and events are going to unfold though you are always very diplomatic about it with Libra as the opposite sign of Aires.
