Hi Mahesh,
In the guidelines I've asked people to limit their questions to 1 or 2 questions. Regarding your first question please see my daily article http://lightonvedicastrology.com/dailyj ... 040806.htm on the 11th house. Malefics who are functional benefics do not lose their natural malefic status, it just modifies it. By transit the functional status holds but you'll find that the malefic status generally predominates. Regarding your third and fourth questions the natural status, the functional status, the friendship the two planets, the closeness in degrees in the conjunction all have to be considered as separate factors. It can not be answered. Each case has to be weighed closely. Vaughn Paul

Hi Mahesh,
This question represents why Jyotish is a challenging subject. We are always having to weigh contradictory aspects on a case by case basis. This is also why Jyotish gets easier over time since the astrologer has more of a data base of experience to work from. They've seen enough similar situations to know what the likely outcome will be.

The most important thing to realize is that contradictory indications do not cancel each other out. Both the natural and temporal status of the planet iss a factor and both the natural friend and temporal enemy status is a factor. Four factors therefore have to be weighed and synthesized into one holistice interpretation. Vaughn Paul
