Can anyone explain 4 step theory in kp astrology with an example? I found a few links, but none were satisfactory.

I am using Astrosage and Lahiri, and according to that, I am in the mahadasa of Jupiter and antardasha of Jupiter too.

I thought mahadasha of jupiter and antar dasha of jupiter also was going on .
